How do the reserve spots for the ASG get decided? Does the manager select them or fanvote? If manager selects Marwin should have a shot.
"Player voting (16 players): Eight pitchers (five starters and three relievers) and one back-up player for each position are elected by the players, coaches, and managers.[5] If the top vote-getter at a position has also been selected via fan voting, the second-place finisher in this category is selected." --per Wikipedia Thanks Google.
Who would have thought that Marwin would be leading the team in RBI and tied for first in HR a third of the way through the season. Loved how he hustled his ASS off to 2nd on that bobbled ball by Rickard!! Kid reminds me of Billy Spiers!!
I fondly remember quotes like this (submitted in the 2nd inning): Astros don't want to win today Still, we had a great week by cangrejeros51 on May 28, 2017 | 1:44 PM reply Shortly followed by this: What a ridiculous statement by gameace777 on May 28, 2017 | 1:45 PM up reply
It's great seeing the Rangers 10 games out of first place. There are only 6 teams in all of baseball further out of first place in their division.
Nice catch. Their bullpen has been pretty heavily taxed this series -- the longest outing for their starter was 5.1 innings. They've got Santana going tomorrow - I'm sure they're hoping he does ace things.
He's still here though...making the same pessimistic, followed by a tongue in cheek optimistic, post.
35-16. Just flat out amazing. With dumpster Fiers in the rotation. This team is fun to watch and I don't think they're at their peak yet at the plate or pitching. I know they're not going to always be NINETEEN games over .500, but let's enjoy the ride. And right now, we're up.
