Seeing Morton to 10 day...this mean Fiers remains in starting rotation?

Thread was valid for about 30 minutes. With Jankowski being recalled after the Morton injury, Fiers is most likely back in the rotation.

Just saw that. Most likely unless they call up a starter.

Here's to hoping it is a "Dodger" injury.

Want to keep this ride going. Need to add an arm via trade. Granted teams won't go on a fire sale for a couple months. But Fiers is obviously not up to the task. I would be surprised if McHugh even pitchers this year and if he does if he is any better than Fiers at this point. What's Sonny Gray doing? He was rolling in 2015.

Sonny Gray is doing great. All the teams will be after him.

We really need a third pitcher.

Any way to pull Fiers out of the rotation is needed. I'm not 100% behind Colin Mchugh or Morton as our number 3.

I'm thinking MLB will more likely change the name of the 10-day DL to the inactive list than punish teams for abusing 10-day DL. MLB wants teams to be overly cautious, and I'm not sure if MLB cares about DL manipulation.

Stros have been doing this heavily in the minors with the inactive list. In the past MLB was very serious about DL abuse, but you're right about that probably changing, hence the switch to the 10-day.

I've not seen MLB care about DL abuse, recently, as teams have been trying a lot of different things to reduce injuries. Slapping a pitcher on the DL first sign of soreness may reduce long term injuries for muscle issues. I expect 6 man rotations are going to happen at some point, and DL manipulation and/or option manipulation may allow for it to happen sooner.

Not worried, but I wonder if Peacock's move was more related to issues with Morton than Fiers. As other's have said, hopefully this amplifies efforts to acquire a quality starter.

    It's probably due to Fiers.

If the team wanted to disguise the reasoning, seems they would've announced Morton's injury prior to announcing Peacock as a starter

They made the Peacock/Fiers swap before they knew about Morton.
