Why should Hoyt have been an 8th and 9th inning option? Giles is the closer for a reason.

I believe they were 9 back before their 10 game win streak which prompted our former radio analyst and current Rangers broadcaster to crack jokes at Houston's expense.

    Eat it South Oklahoma.

To save Giles. He's* pitched 1.1+ almost half his appearances..

I get your drift though. Tomorrow might not be a save situation anyways AND Giles is the closer.

    *He meaning Hoyt

Hoyt should be an 8th inning guy and hasn't pitched in a couple of days. He should be option though not the first option. That said, Hinch used the A Team tonight. No problem with that.

Astros are going to win a lot this year. At some point, Hinch is going to need to rest the A Team if the Astros don't slow down.

    ^^^ Ok, we'll call that a tie.

Add another 1-6 with RISP to the Stros homestand tally.

Soriano at 53 is pretty surprising.

Beltran ties Billy Williams on HR list while playing for the team that was the Colt 45s. It works every time.

    Was thinking the exact same.

Also, Bagwell's 449 is beyond Beltran, although he's already eclipsed Jeff's RBIs.

Too bad for Centeno given how well he played in his brief stint. Nonetheless, McCann will need rest later in the season, so I'm sure he will get another chance.
