Probably not cheap enough... [Marreese Speights] will be looking for the mid-level exception of about $8.2 million per year next season, which probably will be too much money for the Clippers, according to his representatives. Link
I'd pass, big body who can shoot, that's ok i guess. Too bad his defense is probably worse than Kanter so...give me Nene over him any day, especially if cheaper.
he'll be fine come opening day, we need someone that is rough and sets screens... him and Nene are it.
You're joking right? Beasley meh but Evans can't stay healthy to save his life. TBH I would love Johnathan Simmons on this team to replace Ariza who I'm tired of!!! Can get a similar deal to Ariza and be a better player. Another guy I would look at is Chris Bosh and Blake Griffen (not necessarily cheap). I honestly think Blake is ready to move on from that **** hole you call The Clippers and jump onto a wining situation. Moving Ariza, Harrell, maybe dekker, selling your picks, and giving up the rights to Llull can probably get this done. A lineup of: Harden/Gordon Pat/Williams Simmons/Troy Williams Anderson/ Griffen Griffen/Capela/Nene
but all dat extra spacing and quick trigger deep threes /rofs did marvin not wanna come here for an extra 10m? i wonder cuz i'd rather have him 10/10x
We already have one. Kyle Wiltjer is already signed. He's better than Ryan Anderson. And we could potentially draft this kid. Watch the rotation on the ball on these threes.
Brandon Rush is someone I also have been considering. 3-D guy to play the 2/3 spot. Probably would net more than the minimum though.
Who is bigger... @BigMaloe or @BigShasta Honorable mentions: @Big MAK @Big Time Titan @Big Uns @bigballerj @BigBird @bigbodymoe @bigdaddy
I said the same thing about Eric Gordon's health and surprisingly he was healthy on this team. I think its a good chance, with the talent on this team, Tyreke Evans can also have good health here. We should've kept Michael Beasley in the first place. I agree that Blake Griffin is ready to go and he would be a great steal for us.
Rockets have the 5th most cap space available going into the offseason. Other teams can renounce players and pull ahead of them, but they are in a good position. I believe they have around $12M. And I think they could use an MLE for around $8M. I think that's enough to bolster the roster. Probably not enough to compete for a championship, though. So I would expect a trade or two. Ignoring the likelihood of a trade, are there two or three players they could acquire with the current money available? I would suggest Ilyasova and tony Snell.
Can't use cap and MLE, MLE is only available if the team stays over the cap. Snell will probably get 12 mill per alone, Sova will probably get 15+ mill.
If he does comeback, I doubt he's cheap. If eligible to play, when on court, he's an Allstar. I think he could easily fetch a deal around 20 mill per on a Dmo-like structured contract, where theres a team option every year with contingencies on passing physicals. So basically a risk free deal for the team that pays him fairly for his talents as long as he healthy. His max is 35 mill per, I doubt he gets that, but enough teams will be able to open up 15-25 mill to set that type of price tag on him. I think the thought of him playing on a min or MLE deal is silly, he gave up 50 mill for the opportunity to try to play again, I bet he tries to recoup some of it if he can come back.
