I'm interested. Now that films can put you in the seat of a dogfight like never before, this should at least be visually stunning. I don't have any connection to the characters themselves, but their call names were great, so think they should focus on new character development with the cameos. But I'm not sure if the plot will deliver as what more can they do with fighter pilots. First movie captured a new world for most of us, but is there another part of that world to show us.

Will be interested to see how this is received. Fighter jets and dogfights aren't really a thing anymore to people. Do they even make popular video games around fighter jets anymore?

I think it could be good. We rarely have good movies involving Navy jets...so I'm all for it. And, Tom is a hands-on actor so even though he won't be flying the jet....we can be sure he will be in it for his scenes. They may let him fly some for some scenes. I don't think we can get enough Tom Cruise...even though he is bat-sh_t crazy.

Well.. that depends.. They filmed the original in San Diego and had real fighter pilots/planes - (former neighbor was a pilot for the movie). It added to the realism. Now a days everything is CGI so it has the potential to look like a video game.

I believe Tom is on record as saying he would only do a sequel if they used real planes. That was from a couple of years ago when this talk of a sequel started.

    With the cool
I agree with the cool call signs. I can barely tell you their real names but how this movie didn't turn into at least a cartoon series is beyond me. I mean even Rambo turned into a cartoon series.

I would say hell no but the Red Dawn remake was decent so I may go see this remake if I hear good reviews.

I think it'll be fun. I'll see it. I can dig seeing more dogfights. Can we have F-22's, please? As for Cruise, he may or may not be crazy, but he's certainly a fine actor. Catch his performance in Magnolia for proof of that.
