If Hou and OKC basically performed at the same level since the all-star break... with Harden already being a premiere facilitator who makes his teammates better... while Westbrook is a ballhogging chucker... it appears to me there is far more growth opportunity with Westy - right? I mean Harden has already reached the pinnacle... right? There's no more that can reasonably be expected of him... but Westy is a stat padder who doesn't trust his teammates... that means if Westy had the genius of MDA to guide him... heck, he might be the GOAT! ...lmao...

Oh hell no. Harden has put his ego aside and is sharing the ball with CP3 but Westi(inferior to Harden as a player) would never do that.
Harden could easily statpad and go for the greatest offensive season of all-time if he wanted too, in fact before cp3 came back he was on pace to do just that. Harden is unselfish
Hell to the no I would not trade Harden for Westbrook. Even if they included multiple draft picks. Even if they included multiple other players- because Westbrook wouldn't do anything to help those players be better anyway. I usually don't get on this site much during the off-season so I didn't see this thread originally. How terrible. I can't believe anyone even thought it up? Much less to see how many people were agreeing with it. The much more interesting thought is what if OKC had decided in 2012 to give Harden a max contract instead, so they put Westbrook on the trade market? And we offered the same package to get him? I'm so glad that didn't happen. Westbrook is super athletic and explosive, no doubt, but he does nothing to make other players better. Nothing. One of the most overrated players in the league
