You seriously think, after just watching an MVP-caliber season from James Harden, that Dwight Howard would have made this team better?? The same Dwight Howard that is struggling to accept his role on his 4TH TEAM now?? The same Dwight Howard that got regularly BENCHED this season because he's an insolent child who doesn't see his own limitations?? I understand that everyone on this board is quick to forget just how dominant Harden was this season (and yes, I'm disappointed too), but to say that they would be better off keeping Howard over Harden is perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever seen on this board. God, **** the GARM right now.
Rox were (are as in future tense), a gordon hayward kinda player or a pure defensive wing defender away from sweeping OKC and loosing only 1-2 games to the spurs to face the Warriors. ATL got all kinda of drama headcase issues we don't need..in fact, I'm 100% fine with how the Rox lost versus having Howard on this roster...I'd take it all day.that's how bad a thought of having Howard on this team..only my opinion tho
As much as that makes sense, if Harden didn't do whatever in gods name you want to call that.....be it a choke, quit, gang related, or got blazed before the game..If he played with passion and attacked and controlled tempo like we know he can, then we would of only lost 2 games to the spurs and then lost in 6 to the warriors. We're better then whatever hostage situation Soften put us in.
yep all valid points and pissed me off too to see the flame out in Game 6.. and the crux of it all is minus Harden this year on this team they don't make the playoffs...more like a 40 win team give or take but I get it...aside from the TMX fake news or real, winning a ring is the only redemption now in my opinion post Dwight Howard which as we know is another ball of wax all together
Yes, there was a fight, at VLive club parking lot. Anderson apparently jumped a guy called Malone JR. Seconds later the whole crew, Bev, Ariza, Williams and both of his girlfriends joined in. Some thick chick called MOLO came out of club and started recording all of it. cyberx sources say Harden was in the club on was watching it all on Facebook live.
Is it possible for someone to go back and look at footage from a live feed? If so there’s evidence there that Harden wasn’t taking criticism from Ariza too well.
make sure you don't get the hacked version with the patched in video of Moses Malone Jr getting beat up
Basing your trend on one game doesn't seem like a trend at all. This team fought hard all year. They played above expectations so I cheered above my own expectations.
pretty much, the "should we have kept dwight instead" is one of those "are you a moron" test questions so said moron doesn't realise that's what's really being asked
This is kind of why I hate the "what-if" game. I've heard it enough on this board over the years. If they just, blah blah blah. Would the Rockets have swept the Thunder with a Gordon Hayward? Maybe. Would they have gone 4-1/2 against the Spurs? Maybe. ... but ... the Rockets were not that far away from losing to the Thunder in the first round. The Rockets were, hypothetically, Russ not being taken out of games in the 2nd half and shooting the Thunder out of the games in the 4th from blowing another first round home court series. We can only judge what happened. Based on what happened, there's absolutely no evidence that you add Gordon Hayward and it's an automatic WCF birth, much less a competitive WCF. Do people not expect other teams to make moves, also?? The Spurs are going to find ways to get more talent. Their sneaky amazing offseason includes picking up either Lowry or CP3 - I don't see either happening, but definitely a possibility. I know I come across as pessimistic. But I actually think I lean more realist with a hint of pessimism. And that viewpoint has the Rockets finishing 3rd in the West again and having to win on the road 2nd round and forward against great teams.
I can only speak for myself personally. The Rockets went all-in on Harden, MDA, offensive first at the expense of defense, locking up cap space, tripling down again on offense and 3 balls with the Lou acquisition, quadrupling down on offense and 3 balls with the decision to go small in the playoffs, etc. And it was a solid, better than expectation season. That at the end of the day exposed flaws that will continue to be there for a while, if not forever. Another coach getting outcoached, refusing to use his bench, doing a poor job developing young players. Another disappointing playoff exit, confirming the trend of Harden under-performing, and in this case meaningfully choking. So now we're here, starting at the next 4 years, and it is what it is...
You can thank Harden and the rest of the team. This is what happens when a team has an unimaginably poor performance against a team they should have beaten easily. I bet Les and Morey are as confused as everyone else. The Rockets deserve all the ridicule and second guessing.
I do agree with Ariza and Harden having some type of issue going on from Game 5 going to 6. I don't remember the time during game 6, but Ariza got the inbound pass and ignored Harden to bring it up court. However, it was already out of hand. However, clearly Ariza was tired of Harden crap in Game 6. We shall see.
