6-4 should be the goal. Just keep winning series and the rest will take care of itself. I just hope everyone #onhere will be level headed when they lose 5 out of 7 because that will happen eventually.
You have posters on here that freak out after one bad at-bat......if we lose 5 out of 7 at any point this season, I'm leaving for a week.
If we go 61-60 rest of the way, we'll still have 90 wins. If we go 90-win pace the rest of the way (pre-season expectations), they'll get to 97 wins. *knock on wood*
How do they generate these obscure facts? Is there some poor media intern who's forced to look this stuff up?
That's how important a fast start is. Basically if we play 500 ball the rest of the season we make the playoffs
It goes without saying that McCullers has always had good stuff. His control has improved immensely and having a third pitch that he can throw for strikes is making him lethal. What I like more than anything is his confidence is getting stronger and stronger especially with these dominating performances (and on the road as well). He's blossoming right before our eyes into the pitcher that we all hoped he could be!!!
Astros won 90 games in 2005. But going back to '04, Astros have one common player between then and now.
Rangers odds for winning the division have gone up 0.3% during their streak. Astros odds for winning the division have gone up 8.8% during the Rangers streak. Rangers lose tonight, and they will have erased all their gains towards winning the division over the streak and then some.
I can't stress enough how important that is. They might have swept a not so good team, but I like what I'm seeing so far.
Pretty much a by the books win. Great start, pushed across some runs, and the pen slammed the door. Next
Feels good being so good. Already been to more games this year than last, it's a joy going to the revamped park and watching the best team in the Majors go to work
