With the exception of Simmons, the Spurs don't have their heads in the game at all. Aldridge looks like the crappy Aldridge from Game 1 of the HOU-SA series.
i'm sure the nba isn't happy about that either. just like i've barely watched a warriors game, i don't know if i would've watched a cavs' game yet if i wasn't a fan. but at least the east is just incompetence. lebron's given them 14 seasons to build up a good team, and they just won't (we'll have to see how this boston series goes, if cleveland remembers that they suck at defense it would be interesting). durant just knowingly destroyed the west. now, the lakers and celtics in the 80's certainly had to have had some boring playoff runs before playing each other (though the east was good for competition to the celtics, the west sucked). and the league prospered. so maybe tv just won't care. and maybe people will just keep watching. but if the warriors possibly go 16-0 (especially with kawhi basically gone), then what then? fans could turn. but we'll see. all i know is this playoffs is going to be boring, and that's even before considering the flukishly large number of blowouts that have happened.

Nobody, not anyone here, not the Warriors fans, not most of the NBA, but at SpursTalk they throw their own under the bus quicker than anyone I've ever seen.
The Spurs were "checked out" from the beginning. I stopped watching at some point in the first quarter. Really a shame they lost their best player, two of their best players.
The East hasn't had more than 1-2 decent teams at the same time in the past two decades. Yeah, it sucks but at least fans had the Western Conference playoffs to look forward to. Now, with the movement of ONE player, 75% of the excitement of the post season was taken away. We'll see if fans stick around if the Warriors complete their blitz of the league.
I would like to say that LMA is a counterfeit Tim Duncan...but at this point..an actual counterfeit would probably play better.
