    Yikes!!!

Memo Says Trump Asked Him to End Flynn Investigation

    https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/05/16/us/politics/james-come y-trump-flynn-russia-investigation.html
"I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go," Mr. Trump told Mr. Comey, according to the memo. "He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go."

Mr. Trump told Mr. Comey that Mr. Flynn had done nothing wrong, according to the memo.

Mr. Comey did not say anything to Mr. Trump about curtailing the investigation, only replying: "I agree he is a good guy."

Is this the next "scandal of the day"? Are we moving on to the next one so soon?

Despite being told not to release this information? Are you saying Trump had some strategic reason for releasing intelligence Israel didn't want released?

Comey created a memo for every conversation he had with Trump.

This instance of obatruction/attempted obstruction is bad enough, but there is so much more coming....

Well I can say this, at least this scandal would be something legitimately against the law if true but without any real evidence it's just another example of a go nowhere scandal and it's gonna come across as a disgruntled former employee to many many people.

That's not what I said, please go back and re-read. Also, please try not to tell me what I was trying to say, by putting words in my mouth. That's not how we "further conversation."

Who committed the crime at Enron? The few execs that were cooking the books and committing fraud, or the whistleblower that leaked that information to the SEC?

Good luck man, have a good evening.

With Enron, there actually was a crime to blow the whistle on and blowing the whistle didn't involve leaking classified information to the media so it's not a valid comparison. You may know that you know nothing, but I can hope that you'll at least learn enough to realize that.

What Bobby is completely ignoring is the reason why the intelligence was released, does Trump have some sort of strategic plan in releasing information that his own intelligence agencies told him not to release?

Is Trump playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers?

Yeah, it depends on your goal. My goal is not to bring Trump down if only because I know I have zero power and influence to effectuate that. I'm just part of the dialogue and say what I believe is true. Hopefully, I learn something in the process.

How about the first part? Conveniently ignored that huh? Convenient.

How are you sure that absolutely nothing that went on behind closed doors with the Russians last week was illegal? How are you 100% sure of that. Hell, even after Trump tweets this morning that directly contradicts your cries of fake news, and condemning the other side at grasping at straws with this fake news, you are still trying to inexplicably question the validity of the story (again, after the guy you are defending added validity to it directly, and after McMasters' non-denial. In the face of that evidence, you're still not sure. Similar to Trump, who was still a birther, years after evidence stood in the way of reality.

Yet you are somehow 100% confident in the legality of all of Trump's actions, behind closed doors? That's rich, hahaha! Good talk, good talk.

I was just questioning if people were giving up on this "scandal of the day" already in order to move on to the next one. I mean, it makes sense to given that the "scandal of the day" that this thread is about is really a non-starter. At least this next "scandal of the day" is something that is alleging actual wrongdoing even though a memo written by Comey isn't actual evidence and if a meeting like that did in fact happen and he did nothing about it, then it means he doesn't have any integrity so he wouldn't really have any more credibility than the president when ti comes down to it.

It is a better and more interesting scandal though.

Well as to the first part, I was quoting you, so I wasn't putting words in your mouth, I was merely explaining to you what your words mean.

As to things being "illegal" given that the president is the ultimate classification authority with the right to declassify and release whatever information to whomever he chooses, that's why I'm certain that it wasn't illegal.

Like I said kiddo, it's great that you know that you know nothing, but it would be much more useful if you'd learn a bit.

It's not a joke, if Trump attempted to obstruct justice in that manner and Comey didn't do or say anything about it, then that shows he has no integrity. None of us think Trump has any integrity, but if Comey was approached by the president like the memo suggests he was and he did nothing, it says that he doesn't have any integrity either.

If this came out at the time, that would be one thing, but this comes across as a petty attack by a disgruntled former employee.

A little passive aggressive no? Easy there tiger.

You quoted me and failed to comprehend the actual words correctly. Quoting me accomplishes nothing if you fail at reading comprehension.

Doesn't surprise me though. Why are you limiting doing something illegal to JUST the declassification of the information? They couldn't have discussed/agreed to anything else? Is that beyond your scope of comprehension - judging on your reading comprehension, this is quite possible, nay, probable.

And I love that you are so certain that the person who leaked the information HAS TO HAVE a personal agenda against the president, and is ONLY doing this for the "scandal of the day," or whatever else your spewing. You cracked the code brother, you did it!!

You got through 2 or 3 responses to me before being you, so I'll commend you for that.

Well, it seems that what I have to do is the equivalent of what Bobby-the-Great does- repeat the same talking points over and over again. So, to make it easier on myself in the future, I'll just co
Simple solution- call in Comey and Trump to testify under oath.

So now you are asking how we don't know things that haven't been alleged that there is absolutely no evidence of whatsoever? Solid.

Look, I get it kiddo, you just really want to believe that some wrongdoing took place and you don't need any actual evidence of it before you are convinced. It's cool, there's lots of people out there like you.
