Are the Astros too good to where all the Games are boring now?

    I hated the move to the AL at the time, but after playing NL teams at their park for the last few years, I've realized I really don't miss watching pitchers go up there and half-ass swings for 9 innings. Managing a game is much more cerebral in the NL, but the AL is more entertaining from a fan perspective.

    I actually don't think NL managing is all that cerebral.

    Having the pitcher's spot come up in later innings automatically gives the manager a window to either take him out, pinch hit, double switch, or leave him in to hit.

    It's almost expediting the need to make a decision, vs the AL you have to decide if a decision even needs to be made, let alone when you're actually going to pinch hit for position players that have egos and it isn't as obvious.

    Several former AL managers (LaRussa, Maddon) expressed a slight ease in the flow of decision making once they went to the NL.

    I'm finally over the move to the AL. Although I must admit seeing the marlins leave their pitcher in last night just so he could lay down a successful bunt did kind of make me miss the NL just a little bit.

    I know where you're coming from, but I prefer to look at it like this: Arlington has gone 7 and 3 in their last 10 games...and fallen TWO games further behind the 'Stros!
