Didn't see it before you reposted it, yeah I think Obama would have won over Trump pretty easily. Hell most people would have. It took an absolute national embarrassment of a candidate to have Trump win because he himself is a national embarrassment. I've said that numerous times now. Hell I'd have actually voted for Obama over Trump if that was the options I just couldn't bring myself to endorse Hillary.

I have to assume it is bobbythegrape still defending trump. Much like trump, he can not admit his mistake and has to continue the dogged fight. Got tiresome to me long ago. Glad I don't see it.

What I personally would like is to understand why anyone can actually think that voting for Trump is a good idea for this country?

I understand conservative government - that I get, but he is not that.

So, why would anyone stand by someone that wants to grab your daughter by the p***y, hates black people, lies about everything, cheats small businesses out of payment, is a serious narcisist, not to mention promotes his family into jobs they aren't qualified for, says he is going to drain the swamp then brings in people that are the swamp.

How can ANYONE honestly stand by him? I get some of the fear that led to the EO's - and understand that is something - but the rest of him is so deplorable...

How can people actually call themselves Christians and support this man - who is clearly not a Christian?

This is by far and away the most hypocritical position I have seen in more than 30 years of voting.

I can't STAND Hillary, but Trump is far far worse.

No, I'm going on the reports from published about what happened. We know that it happened from Trump himself. We know that people who were there felt they had to call intelligence bureaus after the meeting and talk to them.

You weren't even willing to believe it happened at first Becuase of the 3rd hand sources. Then Trump confirmed it. I think you are the one that wants so badly to show how biased everyone is against Trump that you aren't willing to look at the best available evidence we have regarding the story.

    Uh oh...

Israel Said to Be Source of Secret Intelligence Trump Gave to Russians

By ADAM GOLDMAN, MATTHEW ROSENBERG and MATT APUZZOMAY 16, 2017

President Trump disclosed in a meeting last week with Russian officials at the White House was provided by Israel, according to a current and a former American official familiar with how the United States obtained the information. The revelation adds a potential diplomatic complication to the episode.

Israel is one of the United States’ most important allies and a major intelligence collector in the Middle East. The revelation that Mr. Trump boasted about some of Israel’s most sensitive information to the Russians could damage the relationship between the two countries. It also raises the possibility that the information could be passed to Iran, Russia’s close ally and Israel’s main threat in the Middle East.

Israeli officials would not confirm that they were the source of the information that Mr. Trump shared. In a statement emailed to The New York Times, Ron Dermer, the Israeli ambassador to the United States, reaffirmed that the two countries would maintain a close counterterrorism relationship.

“Israel has full confidence in our intelligence-sharing relationship with the United States and looks forward to deepening that relationship in the years ahead under President Trump,” Mr. Dermer said.

In the meeting with the Russian ambassador and foreign minister, Mr. Trump disclosed intelligence about an Islamic State terrorist plot. At least some of the details that the United States has about the plot came from the Israelis, the officials said.

The officials, who were not authorized to discuss the matter and spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that Israel previously had urged the United States to be careful about the handling of the intelligence that Mr. Trump discussed.

Mr. Trump said on Tuesday on Twitter that he had an “absolute right” to share information in the interest of fighting terrorism and called it a “very, very successful meeting” in a brief appearance later Tuesday at the White House alongside President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey. Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, Mr. Trump’s national security adviser, told reporters that he was not concerned that information sharing among intelligence partners would stop.

“What the president discussed with the foreign minister was wholly appropriate to that conversation and is consistent with the routine sharing of information between the president and any leaders with whom he’s engaged,” General McMaster said at a White House briefing, seeking to play down the sensitivity of the information Mr. Trump disclosed.

General McMaster added that the president, who he said was unaware of the source of the information, made a spur-of-the-moment decision to tell the Russians what he knew.

But General McMaster also appeared to acknowledge that Thomas P. Bossert, the assistant to the president for Homeland Security and counterterrorism, had called the C.I.A. and the National Security Agency after the meeting with the Russian officials. Other officials have said that the spy agencies were contacted to help contain the damage from the leak to the Russians.

General McMaster would not confirm that Mr. Bossert made the calls but suggested that if he did, he was acting “maybe from an overabundance of caution.”

“I have not talked to Mr. Bossert about that, about why he reached out,” General McMaster said.

Former officials said it was not uncommon for presidents to unintentionally say too much in meetings and said that in administrations from both parties, staff members typically established bright lines for their bosses to avoid crossing before such meetings.

Israel’s concerns about the Trump White House’s handling of classified information were foreshadowed in the Israeli news media this year. Newspapers there reported in January that American officials warned their Israeli counterparts to be careful about what they told the Trump administration because it could be leaked to the Russians, given Mr. Trump’s openness toward President Vladimir V. Putin.

“The Russians have the widest intelligence collection mechanism in the world outside of our own. They can put together a good picture with just a few details,” said John Sipher, a 28-year veteran of the C.I.A. who served in Moscow in the 1990s and later ran the C.I.A.’s Russia program for three years. “They can marry President Trump’s comments with their own intelligence, and intelligence from their allies. They can also deploy additional resources to find out details.”

The episode could have far-reaching consequences, Democrats warned. Any country that shares intelligence with American officials “could decide it can’t trust the United States with information, or worse, that it can’t trust the president of the United States with information,” said Representative Adam B. Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

“I have to hope that someone will counsel the president about just what it means to protect closely held information and why this is so dangerous, ultimately, to our national security,” Mr. Schiff said at a policy conference in Washington sponsored by the Center for American Progress, a liberal group.

So the fact that the source wasn't in the room means that its a fake news story even though the people in the room INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT have confirmed the story. Right....

Also - to the Right wing nuts who go insane about protecting Israel.... Do you idiots realize that you just gave classified Intel from Israel to the Russians who are allies with Iran who wants to destroy Israel?

I just can't understand how it feels to be a Right Winger right now. It really must be like Clayton Bigsby (from Chappelle Show) taking off his clan hood and revealing he's black.

Wait, what... did McMasters address any of the article's reporting? Seems he said the intel trump shared was "appropriate." (and thus avoided saying the intel was classified or not) he repeated his claim last night that Trump didn't divulge sources or methodologies, but that isn't what the article reported anyway. McMasters confirmed that Trump divulged the city. He said that the Homeland Security person had to reach out to CIA and FBI (just being cautious??). He then stated something really scary... Trump didn't even know the source of the intel he shared. Yikes. McMasters then talked vaguely of "premise", thus avoiding the specific facts of the situation. And then repeated a Trump theme about leaks.

Seems McMaster didn't counter the article but rather confirmed what was reported.

What I find interesting (and sad) is that if you ask a person that leans right, they cannot answer a simple question. A simply question that should have a simple answer, they just for the life of them refuse to/can't do it.

I can ask a person that leans right, "what time is it?"

And instead of a simple "2:30," I'd get an answer like "Time for Obama to get the hell out of here, and his stupid Obamacare, amirite?!?"

2:30 was the simple, correct answer buddy. That was it, nothing more, nothing less.

Unfortunately, EVERY single topic of discussion/criticism/valid concern that is brought up about Trump, one of 3 things WILL come up as a response from the right: either crooked Hillary, either Obama, or either fake news. WITHOUT FAIL.

Is there any hope for actual discourse, and an actual, respectful and intelligent back and forth? Unfortunately probably not.

I sure wish that people on the right were as smart as they thought they were.
I sure with our president was as smart as he and the people on the right think he is.
I sure wish we didn't have a clown show of a white house.

I guess we don't always get what we wish for.

Sure there is hope for discourse. But it doesn't start with pointing at the flaws of one party's supporters while completely ignoring the hypocrisy of the other Party's supporters.

Unless of course you didn't mean HONEST discourse.

Gee, this advice from back in January doesn't seem so crazy now...

It is you Bob that is holding out hope.

Trump called Jordan’s King Abdullah this morning. I wondered what they talked about.

Both parties have plenty of criticisms to own up to (I don't consider myself one or the other, and I feel those that put party over country will help bring down this beautiful country that I was born and raised in).

But going back to my criticisms, which were wrong?
