No... It's not like were usually jumping on the opponent early... Lots of the time we aren't even winning until the 7th+ inning

Also, as a Houston sports fan all my life.... I've suffered enough... I'll enjoy every second of this

So we've come to the point in our lives where winning IS BORING? Give me a break. I guess losing heart breaking games in the 9th are more exciting to you lol.

Sure are a lot of posters in this forum that haven't been here much (if at all) in the past.

Sounds like someone didn't watch the games from 2011-2014...

Yeah, but some the best actual baseball conversation took place in this forum during those lean years.

My only problem with winning now is I expect them to win every game. The hype around this team is huge. Somehow, we have to stay grounded. It seems like these guys are pretty grounded as is. They just seem to be having a lot of fun...as we are watching this unbelievable start. This seems like "the" season. But, a lot of baseball left to play. I love this team. I can't recall us ever having hitters stacked all throughout the line-up. It's unbelievable. Definitely not bored in any way. This is great so far.

I'm not bored at all. All of Fiers games, many of Musgrove's games, and nearly all of Morton's 3rd time through the line-up have been "grab the tums" moments. Honestly it's been worth watching all the way through the 9th innings in most of the games.

There are definitely things left to improve on:
    -dumping Fiers
-more consistency from Musgrove and Morton (as above)
-succeeding against the opposing starting pitching rather than the pen. Starters will go longer in the playoffs.
-even more consistency from the strong pen. gregerson and giles have both been shaky.

Things I have been pleased to see:
-Less reliance on the long ball
    -Less strikeouts
    -more situational hitting.

No one else was actively commenting so I had a lot of good conversations with myself.

Fun times, even though the baseball wasn't.

The only thing Porter ever accomplished was somehow convincing a veteran umpire crew that he could bring in a reliever and relieve the reliever without him ever throwing a pitch.
