    Situational stats also matter.

    RISP

    2017-212

    2016-372

    2015-297

    2014-310

    K %

    17.7%

    9.8 %

    9.7%

Also, why don't you go ask anyone in baseball if he is performing up to his expected standard?

    Absolutley.

I mean Giles has been great so far too. Only 2 blown saves to this point?! great stuff.

I don't really see the "I" problem affecting this team. This bunch of guys is the epitome of TEAM.

Hopefully some damn fluke injuries don't bite us in the ass. Lose a Keuchel or McCullers would be the worst thing imaginable imo.

And the other "I" word, describes the second sentence of his post. Ironic.

Damn must be bad if that's the case.

Remind me of people trying to leave the rockets game and the city was flooding

Small sample sizes are terrible. You're saying if he got 3 more singles across 35 games in RBI situations, you'd say he's performing to his normal standards? All the evidence in the history of baseball suggests RISP numbers are random from season to season.

    Because I know math.

Go easy guys jinxes are not real. (knocks on wood)
If you know math so well, and you believe in large sample sizes, why are you comparing full seasons of OPS, and SLG stats to 36 games worth???

Sounds like he gave a snarky response to a very dumb question.

"What is it about NY that brings out the best in you???"

NYC and it's media is pretty full of itself... if you succeed against them, you're one of the best ever without a doubt (in their minds).

Except Keuchel does pitch his best against the Yankees. The Angels and A's are his other biggest victims, but considering he didn't face them in the postseason, it wasn't a dumb question, much less "very" dumb.

Giles has one blown save, not 2....are we just making up stats now to defend our cases against players?
