Why would you do something different with a 5 run lead? If you believe the positioning is the best one to get outs, you do it, right? I don't think there's anything that suggests shifts are good for preventing runs but come with significantly higher risk--at least as far as I've seen so far

We have to beat the teams that beat us, and the teams that beat the teams that we beat (but not too badly), and the teams that beat the teams that we beat, because they are the teams that could beat the teams that are better than us.

At least that's how I think the guys explained it.
