Yeah, those who criticize us for criticizing Harden don't know what they are doing. :p

Yeah, he didn't watch those games. I remember those games, the Lebron one was pretty infamous and it didn't help that when he went to the Heat and lost in the finals and got outplayed by Barea...can you imagine the narrative on him then? Yeah. Wasn't pretty.

For Kobe he had a bit more leeway for his since he had already did his thing with Shaq, but people at the time were wondering if he could ever win without Shaq. Of course as the story goes, that game a lot of people thought Kobe was protesting, it may have been. IIRC he would demand a trade and they would get Pau Gasol and the rest was history.

It's easy to say "Kobe went 8-13" but anyone that knows Kobe should immediately go "Wait, Kobe shot 13 times?" and alarms should go off then. Considering the ummm context of that series too, Kobe dominated for the previous games and then barely did anything at all. I remember that series quite well, it was clear something was up. He'd just pass off to teammates and defer.

Them being down 30, they were down the entire game because Kobe didn't play with any heart at all. Highlight clips won't show that, they'll show...well highlights...

Look at the title of that video...you want highlights, lets talk about how Charles accused Kobe of being selfish and quitting on his team.

Kobe was 8-for-13 for 23 points in the first half. How the &%*# can you people say that is anything similar to what Harden looked like last night?

What are you talking about? The conversation is about guys who didn't bring it from the tip, not about guys who didn't dive on the floor after being down 25 points in the 4th.

I'd rather Harden come back next year with another all-star or two beside him.

Because we actually watched the games and not referring to box scores and highlight clips.

You speak of straw man arguments all the time. You do realize that you just set one up for me right?

I watched them as well, and Kobe "quit" sometime during the 2nd half, but to say that he didn't bring it from the tip is hilariously inaccurate.

Even suggesting that is remotely the same as Harden last night is so discrediting to your perspective and indicative of how you can't accept objectivity in any way.

It's actually worse if you ask me.

Down 15 the dude just quit on his team...with an entire half to go...

At least with Harden you can say he never had it to begin with. With Kobe he HAD IT and simply with the game very much in reach said F it, you guys do it on your own. That's why people thought he simply quit on his team.

I can't accept objectivity? You've not said a single good thing about Harden since last night and have already labeled him a quitter without any proof to that. Meanwhile, many ex-players have talked about this and it seems most think he choked and didn't quit, which are two different things entirely.

LOL, now Kobe's is even worse than what Harden did last night.

You apologist clowns really have muddled minds.

Well, you have 0 objectivity so I don't expect you to even entertain the thought.

Just another Harden hater who takes joy in gloating about the failures of our own player.

The reality is that Harden is one of the best players in the league, had one of the best seasons, and will go down as one of the best players for this franchise.

That's reality, the fiction is that he sucks.

Did that poor strawman deserve such a harsh beating?

So tell me, where do you rank Harden among all NBA players? Who do you put above him?

I would say just below Westbrook. Somewhere around 6-8.

Honestly, can't even argue with that.

Anyways, some of you guys never give the guy credit when he plays well. He's a flawed superstar, I think everyone realizes that, the whole Harden nuthugger narrative is silly. I think some of us just realize his flaws.

    This.

The bargain bin assets flame out deeper in the playoffs.

It's like eating no name cereal instead of name brand for 8 straight months. Somethings gotta give. Homey don't play that.

Whatever. Get someone (Hayward or Millsap) that can take part of his burdensome scoring load so he can expend some energy on defense. We're not winning anything with him thinking he can be lax on that end because he's so great on the other.

This season was fun but thinking that Harden alone is going to get us anywhere is suicide.
