Yao wouldn't make it in today's NBA. He would be hobbling up and down the floor and be out the rest of the season 10 games in.

Yao was playing like a modern big under Rudy T. A outside inside threat.
JVG turned him into Patrick Ewing

Yao played ball year round thanks to Chinese Olympic team
I understand his patriotism but his team sucked and he couldn't carry that team against a bunch of USA and European all star teams

Probably a combination of fatigue and Spurs game plan.

Force harden to play defense against 7 footers and swarm him on defense.

Cut the head off the snake strategy

dumbest thread ever. the day tmac "quit" in toronto was when he was at the end of his injury-plagued career in a regular season game.

Fort his to happen against a team with their superstar equivalent hurt, their starting pg injured, and their supposed allstar struggling throughout the series and NOT come out and play for a trip to the WCF is unexcusable. Especially with the team we had this year. We still had a better season than we would have guessed but this definitely was a blow to how most NBA fans, much less clutchfans, see Harden. Of course we want him to bounce back but this was like the most golden opportunity a superstar can ask for and he threw it away or couldn't handle it. Now we have to endure "Popovich is a genius" BS for another year when in reality we lost the series more than they won.

On another note, Harden is to blame for this but everyone else played a part too. Bunch of drones out there playing as if they weren't contributors that got us this far throughout the season ... handing the ball to Harden for 8 straight minutes when the guy is so tired he can barely get the ball up the court.

yo, that Eric Snow play was dirty and should result in a fine and automatic ejection/suspension. you don't push someone's knee like that mid air very very dirty

this is what I hate about NBA players. They sell each other out in a heartbeat when they are getting the whistle. I'm cool with them fouling each other and getting away with fair contact but when they start playing dirty and throwing elbows and forearms and undercutting on every play that's when I start wondering what the ****.

Eras have changed. Fans here just make fun of Mcgradys injuries. The knee and the back got harsh disgusting comments because they were manipulated by ESPN.This Era of fans now make tons of excuses for a year round quitter. He has a cold, ankle, wrist, concussion, hungover, sad... all within one playoff series. Talk about double standards.

Yeah, Tmac decapitated Eric Snow on that play.

This should be the gist of all our problems right there, all these points are what makes this worse than a guy who is hobbling up and down the court
