As much as I dislike Harden, I wouldn't hold it against him for going out after the game.

The guy treats basketball as just a job; going out to relax is pretty normal I guess.

You have a really tough day at work. Many people would end up going out and grabbing a drink that night.

What is unacceptable is staying out late drinking right before a big work day.

Is this after last night's loss or the night before? Either way - he needs to mature a lot, off and on the court, if we are going to make a run towards the finals. He's going to be 28 in a few months - in NBA terms, he's a veteran. He's acting like he's 22 or 23. If this was after last night, even more shame on him. If I had dropped that egg on national tv and gotten blown out, outclassed and embarrassed by 39, I would have gone home with my tail in between my legs. Smh

Harden must have bet $100 millions on rockets loss at Vegas after news that Kawhi Leonard will not play broke out.

But what if he was there before the game and also at halftime?

Harden lost on purpose cause he wanted to party and didn't want to have to worry about game 7

Kobe, Jordan or Lebron wouldn't be out clubbing after losing an elimination game by 30.

That's ok because I never considered Harden on that level. He's reached his dream.

Fans chanting MVP after that game. Embarrassing. Quit stroking his ego.

Winning isn't life or death for Harden like it is for those guys. Harden treated last night like he had a rough day at the office, "no biggie, I'm on vacation for another 3 months and I'll try to do better next season."

To be real, he still did have work related duties today with exit interviews. Will he show up hungover for that?

    Only 2 takes I'll allow.

    "We lost him."

    or

"He's just supporting Travis, and trying to take his mind off things."

I don't think players have to take their jobs home with them. Why infest their personal lives with work crap? It is a job. They should treat it like a job. That doesn't mean they shouldn't give all for their job. But, what happens on the court should stay on the court. The only redemption that will be gained is doing their job on the court.

Jordan was reportedly flying to Atlantic City between Finals games in 1993. The difference is he'd earned the right to have some fun during the playoffs. Harden needs to show up for the postseason before he gets the benefit of the doubt.

Can't lead a team to a championship but he can lead his homies to the club.

Of course players don't have to, but the best players usually do. The competitive drive and hatred of losing is what motivates them to be great. If we want Harden to be the best of the best, he needs to dedicate himself to basketball.

Now it doesn't mean that he needs to sulk all offseason long, but he should be pissed off, I want him angry for some period of time. That's how I know he cares.
