ClutchFans Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets 5/11/2017 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 6)

Poor FG% doesn't happen in a vacuum. Spurs are the best defensive team in the NBA. They have the ability to play good defense and make opponents shoot poorly.

 

The thing is that when Harden didn't do well against the Clippers and was benched the team picked him up and won the game. Tonight Anderson made no FG's Gordon also sucked with zero in the first half.

It was pitiful, but Harden wasn't the only culprit out there. It's really hard for me to find anything positive to say about the Rockets or Harden tonight.

WIll never work in the playoffs.

Because you become way too predictable. James Harden had a good mid range game but thanks to the triple chin he has had to eliminate it and now becomes easier to guard (talking playoffs here)

 

Harden is the latter.

 

I think everyone turn the game off. It was a patented Houston game 6 choke job...

 

we need another star player that is capable of controlling the game when Harden is undergoing one of his meltdowns

 

High variance means it can go either way. Sushi hits the fan at the worst possible time.

 

Especially when you know James wasn't going to give the effort. It's just a bad vibe for the rest of the team when they see the star not guarding.

Should have started Dekker or anyone. Maybe even have Pat Bev guard LMA because at least Pat Bev would have pissed LMA off and maybe got LMA thrown out

name one time Kobe Bryant had to guard a seven footer who could shoot, had 50 pounds and 7 inches of height on him.

or Jordan, or Westbrook, or even Kawai Leonard. Exactly.

 

Actually, I believe him. A lot of folks on here think Harden quit.

This team did not want to win this game. They quit back in game 5. This is really a bad team. Beat the lesser teams (mostly not always) and hope your 3's fall against the better teams. We suck. This team is actually pathetic.

Needs...

PF in the worst effing way. Seriously f ryan tool ass anderson. He is trash.

SF- Ariza can easily give us similar production and with a higher motor by playing 20 minutes a game. He is not a playoff caliber starter. Never really has been and now he's older.

C- Capella good but he still kinda sucks. Need another player to play Nene minutes or get someone thats better than the young capella and can bring that softy along quicker. Capella like a child out there.

Sg- this needs to be harden again if we don't trade him. He sucks at point and im sure some super idiot will bring up his bloated assist totals as some kind of argument. If you are that person, its ok- you are just not a knowledgeable basketball fan. Passionate maybe but educated not in the least. Also trading the grossly overrated Harden away to a loser team where he belongs for some high draft picks would be a straight up steal. Gordon really just basically sucks. Williams too. Williams on defense is laughable.

Pg- beverly late in games would be much better than dipshlit Dantoni going with the the turnover/ brick machine that somehow gets hilariously mentioned as an MVP. If harden wins that award i am truly done with the NBA. I do think we need a much better ball handler with much better court awareness than Harden at point guard.

We neef everything. AND MAYBE WE SHOULDNT RUN SUCH A STUPID OFFENSE THAT NEEDS GOOD SHOOTERS TO WORK. OUR SHOOTERS ARE BEYOND CRAP. IVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY BRICKS. This is a fake team. Built for the reg season but complete garbage against good teams. They just lost at home in the playoffs by 39 points by a team of old people and their best 2 players injured. This was an elimination game. Unacceptable.

Goodbye all players not named Capella, Beverly, and Nene ( if he still wants to). What a pathetic team tonight. Everything at stake and we come out flat and disinterested. Thst means dantoni must go. Couldn't motivate his team in the most important game of the season. No excuse, find another team to steal from. GTFO

 

What an awful way to end what was otherwise a fun and successful season.

Well, clearly they did not compete at all this game.
