    serious question

I think Harden should retire, at least if i were him i would. Im on twitter and everybody hates the guy, rappers, reporters, analysts, guys you wouldnt think watch the nba hate james harden including some rockets fans( who are casuals btw). The addidas deal James signed is guarenteed so thats good. He's well off, he is too nice of a guy to get this kind of treatment. Its not even that the media and fans are picking on him for his game( which can be debated) this is flat out HATRED. Corrrect me if im wrong but wasnt harden the shaqtin- a- fool mvp last year, and robbed of all-nba.. he is wasting his time playing in a league that doesnt seem to care for the hours he spends on his craft. Even if we somehow manage to win this series, people will just say," oh kawhi was injured." And then we will lose to the warriors. Harden gains nothing in his legacy because people still think the only reason we beat okc is because westbrook had no help( which is a lie)

Think about this Steph Curry, Durant, Thomspon and Green are all around Hardens age, and that team is ruling the west for the foreseeable future. Harden has to much pride to join another loaded team. So whats it gonna be, rot in Houston and not win any awards because the media and most nba fans hate you, or go to a loaded team possibly win and still not get any credit.

And it really hurts me to type this, but im doing this, because im noticing Hardens body is slowly starting to break down, he doesnt have that same burst, i mean its still quick, but it wont be much longer before he is strictly a 3 point shooter. I would hate to see Harden win a ring like Gary Payton did, basically ring chasing, he is a better player than gary payton, and a lot of other all-time greats but he just doesnt get the respect even though the numbers are there.

So in closing, i leave you with this. Selfishly most rockets fans not all but enough want Harden to retire a houston rocket, but the answer you have to ask yourself going to bed tonight is why? Is it because you want to see him pass hakeem and become the rockets all-time leading scorer, is it because he is a nice guy who plays through injuries unlike our last superstar guard, or you do you like the fact the with Harden we are guarenteed a playoff spot every year. Whatever it maybe. Keep in mind i saw Harden struggle to climb steps at his presser postgame, and i think he has been officially run into the ground from all the minutes he has played over the years

    Here is the presser

"we" couldn't get stops. This guy always blames something or somebody else. Forever lacking accountability.

Why would anyone retire getting to play a game they love? He loves playing basketball, and makes millions doing it. It's the best gig you can get for a guy who loves to play basketball. It sure beats laying bricks in 100 degree weather, climbing through an attic in the heat of the summer to check someone's air conditioner, or pumping out someone's clogged toilet for a living.

Retire because people dislike you? I'm not sure what job you do but if nobody dislikes you then you're probably living in your own little cubbyhole or just clueless about your co-workers. There will always be people who dislike you just as there will be people who like you.

You persevere because you like what you do (or you can't find something better to do) or because you realise like everything in life, work has its ups and downs.

You dont play for accolades and recognition. You play for the W.

Yes harden has been disrespected but hes been respected enough to be given huge contracts and be runner up MVP twice in 3 years.

Chill with the sob story. Kevin Durant called out the media for him haha

Also, beard isnt a quitter. If people quit because they get disrespected then all of america would be unemployed lol

    Really? Everybody hates Harden?

"rappers, reporters, analysts" ALL hate him?

Even if that were true (which it's not, in any thinking person's view), imagine how they'd feel if he QUIT. Imagine the sheer hatred he'd have to deal with everywhere he went for the rest of his life.

We're the selfish ones? You're the one who wants him to do something so laughable that it would pretty much guarantee he'd be hated forever. Think about that when you're going to bed tonight.

yo you are right about him struggling to climb the steps. It's simple man he got tired. He wasn't holding the ball he was resting the entire team was tired. They couldn't get stops because they were tired they couldn't rebound the ball because they were tired. The last thing we wanted was overtime
