Speaking for myself here, I can take a loss if it makes sense (missed shots, other team executed better, too many injuries to overcome, even multiple egregious officiating).

Last night (game 5) was the first time in as long as I can remember where a team gave away a game that emphatically. The Spurs had no business winning that game (even with Manu's heroics). They were all but begging the Rockets to take the game and put them out of their misery.

Then Harden....er.....I mean uhh the Rockets were so persistent to give the game to the Spurs. Fatigue was a factor no doubt, but I was just in shock and so disappointed at what epitomized as a squandered golden opportunity.

It's literally to me, the Rockets won the game, but the Spurs are up 3-2.

Yep, I also find that many of those posters fail to point out anything positive about the team when they're winning. Sometimes, even when the Rockets win this place still reads like we lost the game. Very strange.

    Oh well, Clutchfans gonna Clutchfan.

This is a very reasonable post. No hating on players, just frustration.

Thanks, as a Rockets fan I hope they pull it out and win in 7. But I have a feeling that last night's "loss" was a huge mental and emotional drainer. Not even mad at the Rockets. I felt they all played hard...ALL 7 OF THEM!!! (a bit upset at MDA).

And this is the type of loss even the great teams of lore would struggle to recover and win in 7 on the road. Stranger things have happened sure. I just feel weary for them.

Yep, you're right. One must remain nothing but positive after losing a crucial game we should've won. Nice thread

I dont come on here much anymore, especially after losses, but I was hoping to make sense of Harden's performance in the last minutes of the game. I'm not angry at him (it's just a game). I'm just puzzled by it. It reminded me of this boxer (sans the crying).

Honestly, I was pretty pissed at Harden last night for the OT shenanigans but after I slept on it, I realized the major fault lies with MDA because he played 7 player rotation. It was clear by OT the Rockets were gassed. Capela had to be subbed out because he couldn't even set a screen from exhaustion. MDA just isn't on the same level as Pop.

For example, look at Pop. He knew Kawhi wasn't right so he just sat him in the 4th AND OT. MDA doesn't have the balls to do that to Harden. So he played him until he ran empty. MDA could've subbed in Lou Will to run the point and we probably would've won. Harden also could've just called a time-out if he knew he didn't have it in him. In the end, it's all an issue with EGO.

The funny thing is, so many articles came out from EG, Ariza, MDA and even Harden himself talking about setting ego aside to play team-ball but in the end, when it mattered, Harden reverted back to his old self.

I don't check Clutchfans the day after disappointing losses. Rockets, Texans, or Astros. I usually stay off sports radio too. I can't take it.

Don't we have a "Rant after a loss" thread for people to go there and lash out their frustration?

I think Clutchfans is still better than most fan sites. You will see a lot of criticism after a loss. But, much of it is constructive criticism.

Take a look at Spurstalk sometime. That place is a complete sewer. It's so strange. The Spurs organization is considered to be a classy organization that people respect. And then you look at their most popular fan site and it's rather shocking. I know that Spurstalk is not owned or operated by the team. But wow, talk about two extremes.

**** you this is a safe place, I can **** on our players as much as I ****ing want. I won't allow ppl like you to guilt passionate fans into suffering in silence. And another thing, I got an autographed Dream Championship Sports Illustrated that I waited in the cold while he shopped at Auchan with my little brother when I was eight, I have never read it. The key to life could be on page 1 and I wouldn't know because it ain't coming out the plastic, **** you for questioning my fandom you ******

Im frustrated and hold harden accountable for collapsing there too. Thats reasonable and true

The knee jerk is when people say trade him or give up on him. Dude is a top 5 nba player, you dont walk away from that. Around this same age lebron was choking vs the mavs lol.

We need more pieces. 7 man rotation cant cut it. Morey will work some magic this summer.

Also, I have complete faith that rockets will win game 6. Game 7 is the true question. We still have another chance :)

That's all @Clutch. He and his crew have spent years and years spelling out the law for this site and if you want to participate, follow the rules because clutch doesn't bend to a-holes and he puts up with enough that this site is still a blast. That's the difference, their admins don't understand how to run a site with that same blend of freedoms to post your message without taking it too far.
