Is Nanu ready? Probably not at this level, yet. But, he is a big body and appears to be a better rebounder and defender than Harrell. So *IF* you need to go "big", I'd consider it. But, MDA probably is going to go small/quick and if he has to break the glass on another big, likely goes with Harrell via trust (which probably is minimal).

Also, remember 2 years ago the Rockets threw out an untested Capela who did decently for short stretches. So you never know.

Isn't he suspended for an incident with a referee in the D league? (for a few games at least)

Nevermind, he's eligible to play against the Spurs starting game 3, yeah I'd rather have Harrell in there instead of Onuaku. He's seen some quality minutes and we could use Harrell's rebounding and hustle once we start getting out rebounded .

The Spurs would murder Onuaku and get him in foul trouble within seconds of playing. He would be forced out of the box, exploited on defense with mismatches and hacking Aldridge and Pau constantly. He's not ready

Need him so he can pound on the refs if they start blowing their dirty calls again.

Capela, Nene, harrell....no need for Onuaku

Capela, Harrell...............need for Onuaku. It's that simple. Small ball is their most effective tactic at times, sure. But when it isn't, it's their greatest weakness.

Capela came into his own during a playoff run. Don't think it's impossible Onuaku could contribute five minutes in the first half to keep the legs fresh elsewhere.

If onuaku some how finds the floor, it'll be because we are desperate at that point and getting absolutely nothing from Capella and Harrell or losing by double figures trying to find something

Trez on the boards is my biggest concern with him playing.

    Bro, we ARE desperate.

Capela playing 30 minutes is more than he usually does. Without Nene, Harrelll steps in for what, 15 minutes...of no defense, rim protection or rebounding...assuming neither can hit those times, where do the other 5 or so minutes come from? Anderson? One of TWO forwards this team has? They're already stretched thin. They're gonna play small ball for almost half the game? And win?

WHy in the world would we even be desperate when they just won by 20 pts even without Harrell playing. That makes no sense. Desperate is being down and facing elimination

It's the playoffs. Your main guys step up or they don't. Nobody is feeling sorry for anyone. There's no excuses.

The benches have decided these games...like I said, if the 3s aren't dropping and they stick to 3 guard lineups they'll get waxed.

    Delusional?

We have 2 forwards. Now we have 1 center and 1 small ball something. We've been strapped since Dekker went down and just lost a huge piece of the team.

Explain to me where the minutes fill in and please, do include an idea about how a small ball lineup overtakes a man sized team like Spurs if they're back to shutting down our offense.

Wtf am I saying that's even remotely incorrect? Let alone delusional.

the names of the positions dont matter. its positionless basketball. have you just started watching. so what did they do last game. obviously something was right as they never trailed and nene played a grand total of less than 2 minutes, winning the game by 20. And repeated again harrell didnt even play. how you think this guy is just going to jump into the rotation is pretty confusing to me and ive explained what i think the only ways we would probably see him. maybe add very bad foul trouble to that

Haha, what about asking Harden to guard a 7-foot Lamarcus Aldridge?

You're probably right to assume he's not ready. However, he's a center with size and athletic ability who has been playing starter minutes in the D-League. While that's not perfect, he hasn't looked terrible in his few stints in the NBA. Our biggest weakness is rim protection and defensive rebounding, I'd give him 8-12 minutes a game just to bang on Aldridge, Gasol or to match-up against Dedmon when he's in the game. He has good vision for a big man and is certainly fun to watch shoot FTs. I love Harrell's energy, I'm afraid Aldridge would use him like TJones in the Portland series.

Just pump harrell with gallons of weight gainers n steroids and he'll be ready! If he isn't afraid to use his body he just needs to go full throttle. Chinanu might not be ready.
