    Just curious... why does it not matter now that Jackson owned a great number of slaves?

    Lastly, what made Jackson great? His populism led to one of the worst economic periods of American history.

    I saw this documentary on Abe Lincoln on HBO. Did you know that old Honest Abe was a vampire hunter on the down low? And the plantation owners were all vampires? Andrew Jackson was a vampire, no doubt, who would have fought hard to expand slavery if Abe hadn't kill him.

    Jackson has become a popular figure with that populist right wing. I agree that he was a man of his time, but his policies were crappy overall, especially the economic ones.

    All I remember about Jackson from history class was that he had one of the most corrupt presidency in history, is that why Trump likes him so much?

    Sorry, I must have mixed Grant and Jackson lol. I checked google and it seems Jackson is no saint either.
