If Steph and Durant re-sign with GS then other free agents will have to seriously reconsider their decisions. You're literally looking at a 3-5 year window of no one being able to compete with them.

At this stage of their careers, Gordon Hayward is both a better player and a better fit next to Harden than Paul George.

The Finals this year will be very telling. If Lebron and Co get trounced then there will have to be another Western Conference superpower formed.

    Harden
    Hayward
    Beverley
    Griffin
    Capela

    Lou
    EGo
    Dekker
    Nene
    Anderson

That might work though Griffins injuries are a concern.

And how are we affording griffin and Hayward without losing anyone but Ariza?

Its hard to even think up a team better Warrior's, let alone come up with one using actual free agent options and cup restrictions

You'd literally have to have all 3 max players take pay cuts to play together. But then again Durant and Curry have to accept lesser pay to stay together this off season so if they are willing to do that and other players aren't then it's on everyone else. What sucks is that there would have to be a decision made as to what team it would be that would be the "chosen" competitor. The rest of the teams would be irrelevant for half a decade.

    This is so dumb.

Yep, every star will be different, but some of them will feel the window closing on their primes and make a move that at least puts them in contention. They can't all join the Cavs and Warriors. Houston can become one of those teams that accrue stars because we have ours locked up for 2(?) more years. We have assets to make a big trade with Ryno's salary + Dekker, Harrell, Capela/Onuaku (anyone not named harden, really). Stars have been traded for less. We just need one to say he won't re-sign with the team that trades for him unless they're competitive (like PG13 did with Denver this deadline).

I think we'll get someone, though it will likely be a tier 2 star.

Did anyone say it was a certainty? Doesn't mean we shouldn't try and pursue him. There can be more than one plan of action, but its stupid not to explore all of our options. Seems pretty basic actually.

Youz guyz, he's coming. He know he can't win with the Jazz. He's scoring 30 points and Jazz still lose by 11

He is our KD. Take him to the Hampton let him know he will get open shots with Harden. He is our KD

Draymond and Klay took less than the max, so let's see if Curry and KD takes less than Max

Kevin Durant seriously ****ed the NBA up for a solid 5 years. I know it's been said a million times, and it's basically sour grapes, but what a b****-made decision that was.

I think Boston is the favorite to sign him if he leaves

Everyone knows Hayward will never talk to Morey in any circumstances.

Agreed. It's unfeasible and sadly, it still might not be enough to dethrone the Warriors. That's how ridiculous that team is right now. The fact that anyone can try and put together another team on paper to compete with them and it be a laughable pipe dream at best is a pretty bad thing for the NBA right now.

The point is that some players are going to have to decide if they're just going to take the largest paychecks they can from their respective teams (Russ, Blake, CP3, Hayward, George) and live with the fact that they have ZERO chance of winning a championship any time soon.
