I see no Altuve tonight. Probably a good thing, has not been swinging a good bat for the better part of a week now, his average has dropped a ton. Hopefully the day off brings his bat back.
Prior to last night he had retired 21 of 22, so without looking yes he has more than one 1-2-3 inning this year. People haven't even been reaching base much less threatening.
You don't remember the recent 6-2 and 7-2 games from last week? I referenced them in my earlier post. Two games that any closer should not have to appear in, yet Giles came into the ninth in each of those with runners on and got out of each jam with no trouble.
i wasn't being serious. As far as giles goes. We can agree to disagree on it. I just don't see why you argue so vehemently for a guy in Giles that hasn't been that good, when you have Devo in the pen. I have already told you how I think Giles should be used, let's not go around in circles
ugh, cross-up turns into a run. Rough. But hell of a play by Correa, 2 days in a row he's flashed the leather
Not arguing vehemently. Just pointing out that every manager would use their closers as Hinch did last night. And to your point about Cleveland....Miller has yet to be put into an end game save situation this year.
That really doesn't mean anything....unless Allen has been put in with the bases loaded in the ninth, which I highly doubt.
