Or maybe a 6'9" veteran in Scola - something that added variety.........hell a crumbling back ( Not this year BTW) would have helped a ton.

I am pissed off that we are a one trick pony, Hell I could put together a ****ing game plan to beat this team.....and it would take like 5 minutes.

I'm sorry but reading all the posts here about how the Rox need variety, MDA is getting out coached etc.

If the Rox game plan really sucked how come Harden has a monster line? If Pops has figured out the MDA offense how come Ariza and Capela had decent games?

The reality is the non-Harden rockets players specifically Anderson just suck. All the game plan or tactics or coaching can do is get you an open shot. That's it. It is still up to the player to make the shot. In this we case the Rox dont have just 1 star to Spurs 3, they are also missing 18M due to Anderson being totally useless and being benched due to extreme suckage. Using common logic Spurs will win games as long as this disparity exists.

Moneyball approach works on value, you try to make the most of every cent in your capspace by signing the best players available for that price. Anderson right now is Moneyball's nightmare, he sucks so bad he is benched, causing a massive 18M hole in the roster.

Because Harden can have a monster line and we lose....that is by design...shut down everyone else, make Harden into Westbrook and wallah...Spurs win.

This is an age old axiom of the NBA.

Why didn't you give me credit for writing this for you? Or are you plagiarizing me?

Just kidding. You got almost everything right. Spurs don't really pack the paint though. They defend the shooters and leave a big hanging out in the paint. And then when they have the angle on the cross court pass they'll pack it down tighter.

You're pretty much dead on though. Don't expect too many people to agree with you. They're blinded by Capela's greatness.

Why do you think I wanted us to sign DMo so badly?

A CENTER who can shoot the 3ball forces the big to come out of the paint opening up the lane for Harden..............

We can not beat them now that they figured out how to use their 7 footers. We simply don't have the personnel.

Honestly - they did the best they could given that no big name wanted to come here.

I don't agree. You act like the spurs don't have something to do with Anderson playing bad. Winning basketball is more than points scored, which all you seem to be keying on. Well, harden had 43, he's great, but what else did he do: where are the intangibles that wins games.

Are you saying OKC also figured out Anderson and the MDA offense? Anderson has been scrubbing it up since round 1.

We agree on that. I've said over and over that pick and pop with a center at the three point line would be even better than pick and roll.

    HORSE **** !!!

We could have signed Frye for less than Anderson, we could have picked up Scola when released, and we let DMo walk for ****ING NOTHING......

Morey - this is on you...ON YOU !

Literally everyone that knows the NBA at all knows that this team lives and dies by the three.

It doesn't take Popovich to figure out that this team struggles when they can't hit them.

These guys are either going to start hitting their shots in Game 4 or it is going to be a really short series.

Donavan most definitely figured us out. He just didn't have good enough defense to overcome us and all Westbrook's chucking.

Btw basketball is all about the points scored. 101 Rox 100 Spurs all the intangibles belong to the spurs who wins?

Anderson can be laziest muther****er around but if he scores 69 pts a night on 100% shooting then I don't care. Thats why Shaq was called the MDA despite not having an intangible bone in his body.

It is NOT the lack of calls, Pau does an excellent job of jumping straight up and being disciplined in his lane....we are not getting foul calls because they are NOT fouling.

I'm saying that It's probably easier than you might want to admit to be able to shut down the rockets offense. I harp on it all the time, just because you are scoring 28 points a night doesn't mean you are better than a guy scoring 20 a night and doing more for his team. But the league is about points, points, points.

Make no mistake, San Antonio is beating y'all with team basketball.
