If Tony Brothers or any of tonights clowns are reffing game 4 I will be watching the Astros.

 

The refs set the tone in the beginning of the game when they called a foul on pat for a break away dunk by harden. Even the rookies know how to flop for the spurs.

 

F*ck this! I'm off to play Overwatch.

 

Seriously you are so ****ing annoying. If you hate Harden and the Rockets so much then GTFO.

 

this isn't necessarily directed at you but i always hear that, and it feels like that's what people say after they see who the refs gave the calls to. somehow that's always retroactively the aggressive team no matter what happened. harden drove all first quarter. how many times did kawhi drive? or anyone on the spurs? the rockets have had 2 straight games of some of their lowest free throw attempts in 90 games this season. 13 and 18 (and the 18 was with a few gift calls after the game was decided in the 4th). we shot under 20 once in the second half of the season. the spurs average giving their opponents 21 fta per game. but the rockets, an above average fta team, can't break 20 against them?

at some point it's just not getting calls. the refs refuse to give us the 3 point foul but somehow patty mills not even doing it corrently gets 3 ft's? because of aggression? it's hard to believe we weren't aggressive in 2 straight games where it was close through 3 with a 61 win team. at some points the refs have just changed how they are calling it. and just for one team.

 

it's really simple. Greg Popovich is going to take away what needs to be taken away in order to win the game. He knows the Rockets only take layups and three-pointers. when your offense is that easy to guard all you have to do is get a hand up and close out on threes. once they put the ball down, lead them to the rim where there's a big man waiting to help you out and collapse. The Spurs did a good job of not letting the off Ballers get inside to get offensive rebounds or get open to create the passing lane. That is also laziness on the coaching staff as well as the players for not creating that passing lane in case the ball handler needs it. our entire offense cannot be one drive and if that fails we're screwed. Terrible.

If the role players don't show up on Sunday, then this team loses in 5. And San Antonio proceeds to get swept by the Warriors and we have Warriors-Cavs in the Finals again.

The role players play extremely well. The Rockets win Game 4 and it becomes a 3-game series. I know that the Spurs play well at home, but all it would take is one really good shooting night in San Antonio to win in 7.

Those are also classic Rockets mistakes...tonight it was Lou giving the shot to Simmons, that was absolutely pathetic.

There were 2 seconds left with Simmons trying to get closer to the 3pt line, and Lou just walked all the way back letting him shot wide open...i think i also saw him pushing back Nene while he was trying to contest the shot, i was like "is that a joke?"...that was ****ing terrible.

Another play we paied a lot was when we were down 3 (i think 60-57) and Harden made a weak ass pass to Ariza or Gordon and Mills stole the ball and made a 3...that was a complete momentum killer, we had the ball to tie the game, and in like 3 seconds we got down 6.

what do you know, nbatv spends another segment telling us how the refs were right to screw the rockets over. even concluding "90% of the time they give that foul to the offensive player" (the harden 3 on gasol), but not this time. oh good, so everyone else in the league gets it, but you've figured it out for us.

 

That's true but if Ryan is this, i'd rather play two bigs if not Dekker.

 

Joe Borgia on NBATV justifying the offensive foul call on James. Claimed he stuck his right leg out but his right leg only stuck out after the contact from the ****ing ostrich stepping in under him.

 

i'm beginning to question if James Harden can play the point guard position.

I guess the one positive to take away from tonight is our horrible shooting. You pretty much had Harden and Ariza and Capela - thats it. You shoot 36% overall and you were still in the game. Shooting wise I don't think that that's going to happen again.

Now I don't usually do this, but man what's up with the Refs? They have been horrible since last game. Harden getting called for some bogus offensive fouls or touch fouls (even that tech was BS) all whilst getting hammered driving to the basket without calls. Also, there have been a couple of fouls on the floor for the SAS that have been called shooting fouls - that's free points right there.
