I can't for the life of me understand your post (and to be fair, the one on the previous page from another poster who asked Hinch "wtf did you think was going to happen"). Hinch is an idiot for what? Putting in a good RP? I realize both of your answers are actually Keuchel + Devo pitch 5000 pitches per game. It's not an option though. Stop evaluating decisions based on outcomes. And stop being short-sighted. Gregerson faced 2 batters in his last game and gave up a walk and HR. Previous outing, walk, single, and out. Before that, he was between solid and great for 7 straight outings. And oh yeah, he's a good reliever. edit: I get that he sucked 2 games in a row. Be pissed about it, whatever. But constantly calling Hinch a moron in hindsight is ridiculous--especially when the decision had its merit if you assume that players aren't always perfect (i.e. Gregerson sucking for 2 batters last outing doesn't mean he's all of a sudden Rick Ankiel on the mound)

I hear you, but it also has a lot to do with the board too. There are some that micro analyze every game/at bat and feel that that small of a sample size is indicative of how the future will go. We are 4-1 in the last 5 but today's game will be dwelt upon for the emost part out of context with the current situation. If the team wins tomorrow those guys will go away until the next bad outing.

So you just argued against and for being the bigger man within the span of a sentence and a half? This has been the one of the best situational hitting teams in baseball this year, but maybe facts don't matter. Can you point out all the specific terrible decisions by Hinch today, and can you point out which ones you complained about *before* they didn't work out?

Well considering he had devo up already, I don't believe it to be a stretch. Gregerson is not a "Good RP" this year. He has sucked all year as evidenced by his numbers.
