I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to catching, but it seems like McCann has been very strong calling games this year. Our pitchers seem comfortable with him behind the plate.
I think we need to put as much distance as possible between us and the Rangers as it's a long season. They've been without Beltre thus far (expecting him back the end of this month). Losing Hamels for eight weeks is going to hurt them significantly.
Tony Sipp hasn't always sucked. He was really good in 2014, and extremely good in 2015. He was also the only reliever besides Gregerson that was reliable in the postseason. He earned that contract, but he has since not pitched like a guy worthy of it, or an MLB job for that matter. And we won't keep everybody, most of us have already accepted that. We will keep some of the young stars though, and hopefully we can keep the talent pipeline coming from the minors. If well managed there's no reason we shouldn't stay good even if we lose a player or 2.
Castro was my wife's favorite. Now it is between Bregman & Springer. I'm kind of stunned it isn't Jake.
Musgrove and Fiers are typical 4/5 starters. Sometimes they will do okay but for the most part they are just not that good at all.
Eh 4 runs. You gotta do better than that Rangers. We'd have given you 5 at the start and just skipped to the bottom of the inning if you asked nicely. Astros win by 7.
I dunno.. I feel like we will start regressing to the mean.. that would be a lot of very large comebacks.. cmon musgrove that can't happen to start the game
Musgrove has had trouble in the first inning right? Hope he settles down and gives us a chance to come back.
