Wow. Articles like this make me wish Astros would trade for Brinson so that Ranger fans could watch up close for 7 years what believing in "knowing how to win" costs.
So did I read correctly that they have a team option for Marwin for next yr at 5,125,000? Then he's a FA after the '18 season?

Regardless of what happens today, this has been an extremely impressive performance. Everybody was well aware of how important is was to get this monkey off our back. Even when things didn't do well in those first 2, they never panicked and just kept working. Also, Morton is looking a hell of a lot better than solid. He's showing the stuff and results of a front of the rotation pitcher. He's wiping guys out right now with this improved heat and has posted a 3.13 FIP, 3.21 xFIP, and 3.28 SIERA. If he can keep his ass on the mound he would be the steal of the offseason.
Some guys will figure it out some wont. I would bet against Feliz. He could be part of a trade for a #1 starter at the deadline.
So much better than that Roberto Clemente fellow. Marwin was so terrible those first 2 years, it is amazing the team kept him around.
I don't see any other team in the West playing as well or have as complete a team as we do. We should win west if we stay healthy and keep playing up to our expectation.
