Brother I hear you and wanted them to take game 2 as much as the next person. However, these are still the Spurs and they were playing for their lives tonight. Tough to beat that.

What I saw was a Rocket team that was hungry for 3 quarters.....but then the avalanche happened. They couldn't convert layups, NOR WERE THE REFS CALLING ANYTHING ON THE DRIVES and a couple of 4-5 point swings all of a sudden the Spurs have a 15+ lead in the 4th and they were not gonna let up to go down 2-0 at home.

Rockets were there but the conditions working against the Rockets in the 4th just was not conducive for them to recover, let alone win

We still have HCA advantage after a CRAP game.

    Rockets didn't match SA's urgency.

I highly dislike Parker, but damn..

Seriously, I'm actually very encouraged by tonight. They played with them for 3 quarters.

They had to go colder than they never have before for the entire 4th quarter to lose by 25.

Harden played a bad game and they still hung with them. Kawhi shot lights out nd they still hung with them. Every ball bounced SA's way and they still hung with them. Spurs killed then on the boards and they still hung with them.

    That's encouraging.

I hear you ! You sometimes you hit, sometimes you don't. Let's get 'em in Game 3. If we give GOOD EFFORT, we will win this series. I didn't think we did tonight.

BTW...I predicated a big night for Jimmy myself before the game.

Don't think so. Parker was running that offense tonight really well, but that being said, he changes the dynamic of how we will play the Spurs. He settled in and played his game. When he went out he had the highest +/- at +18, but throughout the game he was picking his spots and setting up the offense and not letting the Rockets dictate the game like game 1.

One huge factor tonight was Harden not getting to the line from driving. He missed most layups and on some didn't get the calls. Those are all rendered turnovers and lost possessions.

I hear you brother....but if my memory is correct some of the rebounding that you originally mentioned was not in the 4th qtr. You're right, of course, about the officiating but we could get that again. We can't cow and fall apart if it happens.Yeah, they were fighting for their lives and I was looking for an early killing ! It could have happened. MDA himself pointed to EFFORT...that's my concern. Good points.

Cannot believe the game was only a 3 point game with just seconds to go in the 3rd.

The Spurs also were flat-out not missing, though. Anything they threw up went in, much like us in the first game. But it's disheartening how quickly it was blown wide open in such a small amount of time.

I can't believe that LMA blatantly uses his off arm on EVERY play to ward off the defender when taking a shot and Jimmy gets called for a hook that even String Bean Miller moans at not being a foul. Oh, this was pre SA as well...not a new thing with LMA.

nba gametime show on nba tv had a review with the ref segment after the game, going over 1 play from each game tonite. of course they handpicked the harden 3 attempt over mills that pop b****ed about. and of course the old ref said harden shouldn't have gotten FT's. funny they didn't pick the one before the end of the 1st half that was a foul but with no call, but of course that one didn't fit the desired narrative. fukin whores

ya'll need to stop watching national sports media.

they just don't like harden and the rockets so they don't care when the refs screw them over.

If the Rockets drop either of the next 2 home games I would be supremely disappointed and would have doubts about the Rockets prevailing the series.

The premise of the Rockets winning this series has always in my mind been predicated on winning 1 of the first 2 (done) and taking care of home court.

If this goes to 2-2 given how the Rockets took game 1, it would be very discouraging and I'd have to give the edge to the Spurs at that point.

Spurs were 27/37 (73%) in the paint tonight. They were 39/64 (61%) inside the arc. That's extremely efficient shooting.

Agree...I would have liked to have taken game 2 with a chance to close out at home. If it goes 2-2 going back to SA, we will have to take another one in SA. We can do it. In fact, my original prediction was us winning in 7...so, I definitely think we can win again on their court...we've already done it once. Admittedly, it'd be much more difficult going that route...especially if we get Brothers.

that was hysterical. it already seemed like we were getting screwed, then they literally just listen to manu's opinion on the play and go with it. i don't know if i've ever seen that. just literally looking right at a player complaining and then switching the call immediately is amazing. and that was BEFORE it got ridiculous.
