Ja Rule And Fyre Festival Slapped With $100 Million Lawsuit For Multiple Counts Of Fraud

I am going to say this is fraud.
How are you going to claim you are offering private villas and there is no infrastructure there??

They were still offering villa packages after the FEMA tents had sold out.

There were never ever going to be any villas, and when they realized it they doubled down and went forward with the sales push to register as many attendees as possible and get them to put money in their cashless wristbands. They were still sending reminders to attendees a week prior to the event, yet they were calling celebrity promoters (who were paid to promote) and the scheduled performers to tell them not to show, if the headliners had already not backed out for breach of contract

That's not naïveté or being in over your head, that's fraud

 

I had actually planned on going to this festival the week before going to EarthQuest Adventures.

The more I think about it, it sound like these guys were just doing a retro Woodstock 99'

 

Why are people still paying to see Ja Rule? What is this 1998?

 

The real question is why do so many people continue to listen to/support musicians with a 5 year career life expectancy?

 

Ja wasn't performing. He is one of the creators of the festival I think. But Blink 182 were one of the headliners so its more like 1999?

That's messed up though. As fun as it is to laugh at rich white people stranded on a foreign island, a scam is still a scam. Where was Ja?!?!

 

Holla always hyped me the most, Ja really had a lot of good tracks (Clap Back was teh hype as well).
