Chuck doesn't believe in analytics, but he was an analytics monster. 28@67 TS%? He had some ridiculous numbers. I know most of us just remember old fat broken down chuck, but when he was young he was dunking on everyone.

= I am going to estimate 80% harden.

Which era? Both players excel in their respective era, I think Barkley would do better coming into today's league than Harden going back to the late 80's early 90's.

Prime Barkley was amazing. During the Dream Team era, Barkley was legitimately near Jordan talent and performance wise.

Maybe it's unfair, but I wanna see Harden lead his team to the Finals at least first.

I believe the exact opposite to be true.

    Is this for real?

I thought it was going to be which would win in a pie eating contest question. Now that would be a great debate topic.

But what if you have 12 rebounds AND 12 assists?

    Then you're the MVP

Barkley if he's not allowed to shoot threes.

This is a weird comparison. A better one would be Harden vs prime Wade. Who would y'all take?

Yeah, Barkley was a monster. He had a commitment and focus problem though. Sometimes he was committed and focused, but it came in spurts. I don't know on Harden. I'm hoping he's better on this dimension.

They are kind of the same size. Chuck was bigger, but they both are big.

Chuck was the tougher player, James more versatile virtuoso.

Playoff Chuck was more consistent. Philly and Phoenix Chuck and discarding Rox Chuck entirely.

Barkley had no help. What was the +/- when he sat? He's the MVP.

    ok

Another problem is one played in a slow, defensive, half court court era with hand-checking. (I still have nightmares of Kenny Smith getting abused by Harper in the finals) One plays in a finesse league designed for, and around scoring.

James would not get those fouls called (a big part of his game he relies on) back in the day. Young Chuck would be like Draymond on steroids in this era.

Chuck would have to be a center in this era. A very undersized one at that.

Harden does great with physicality. Sure, fouls is a big part of his game. But to think he wouldn't do well in the handcheck era is oblivious.

He deals and hoes through an insane amount of contact, and finishes. He is incredibly strong and incredible at getting to the rim.

    Reeks of Harden hating.
