Is Nene allowed to play in game 2? I would be pretty shocked if he is suspended for game 2 but then again, you never know what to expect. I've been browsing the web to see if there's any official word on it but was not able to find anything.
He will play. Aint nobody going to stop big D NeyNey from playing and dominating SPurs in Game 2 with a vengeance
Nene an OG for real. Ariza too, honestly of all the guys you might act hard around probably not those two. Gordon or Anderson, Capela maybe...harden only gonna throw an elbow if it looks like a shot and get a foul called on you.... what were Simmons and dedmon dreaming about? Reminds me of my old pup, RIP. 25 pounds but when he ran into the dog park he thought he was the swingingest set of nuts in the place. Honestly, Nene so big and strong if he lost it and popped a guy it might legitimately kill him. Why test THAT??
I kept watching the replays and saw his hand at the base of his neck where it meets the shoulder, but never saw him try to choke the guy. Maybe I missed it or maybe that's enough for an ejection, but damn.
Unbelievable, it looks like he did get suspended one game. http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showthread.php?862961-Nene-Suspended-1-Game-Will-Miss-Game-4
If that was a real fight, I wouldn't be surprised if it resulted in Nene bring down Butler's head to connect with a knee.
Nene will play even if the league suspends him. That's the kind of guy he is. Consummate professional.
I am guessing no news is good news. Looking forward to Game 2 tomorrow. Hoping for another big game from Nene.
I was thinking the same. That was definitely a Muay Thai Clinch. One thing we can assume, Nene knows what he's doing in a fight.
He's 6'10, strong, agile, aside from basketball he's also very good soccer player, regularly practices mixed martial arts (particularly jiu jitsu). Honestly, in a street fight, Nene would probably annihilate most players bigger OR smaller than him. I would put him top 5 people you don't want to get into a fight with. For a long time we've been the kind of team where players watch their teammates get picked on, bullied, pushed around (except Bev obviously). It's good to have Nene, Ariza and Bev as enforcers. The moving screen on Simmons was a good foul that needed to happen, and then when Dedmon got in Harden's face Nene was actually pretty patient before removing Dedmon from Harden's face. Bonus points for style lol. The ref had 4-5 seconds to stop it and didn't. Someone's gotta put a stop to an out of control 7 foot guy within 1cm of our franchise player. It wasn't really the case early in the season, but the sense of camaraderie between our guys certainly seems to have grown.
