Sampson: I was undercut and landed on my left side. I only remember being in the hospital in Boston, the next thing, and not being able to feel my side for a good bit of time.

Blinebury: He came down with a really, really sickening thud on the back of his head. We thought the guy might have been dead. It was like a watermelon being dropped off of a roof.

Ryan: It was an eerie moment, one of those “dead silence” moments. I don’t think he was ever the same in Boston Garden after that.

Reid: We didn’t have the trainers like these young men have today. We didn’t have the equipment. When he fell on his back and they were putting him on the stretcher, I was watching his hand and it was trembling. Not the rest of his body. Just that arm.

Fitch: Ralph came out of Virginia limping. The first time he had his knee aspirated wasn’t when he was in the pros.

Reid: I found out later that his left hip was a quarter-inch higher than the right. I notice now how he’s loping when he runs, baloop, baloop, baloop, like there’s a flat tire on one end.

I believe to this day had Ralph not fallen in that dump called the Boston Garden we would have handed the Celts their 2nd home loss of that season and maybe won our first. Not only did that fall have a physical affect, it affected him mentally. He was literally scared of that building. Never put up good numbers after that game.

Interesting that Hakeem started as a twin tower then won his second ring with a stretch 4.

    Quote Maxwell:

Oh I love Harden but I came to dislike his Mr. Frauden side to his Dr. Jekyll.

His lazy plays, ballhandling and TOs in opposition to the talent and the eurostep

You can't even handle putting in TMac and Yao in the polls

Hmm, both of them actually bothered to play defense.

Dwight was on the best defensive players, he's regressed or he doesn't care anymore.

you guys are so funny. steve nash was a great player with the mavs, but it wasn't until he went to the suns that he was considered MVP stuff. he was a product of the system, able to handle the ball more. if james harden played with dwight, he would not have those numbers. Without a perfect team to compliment him he can't do what he does. Without a stretch 4, a perfect compliment in beverly make up for his defense and shoot the three, another good defender in ariza who can shoot the three, and then a perfect compliment in capela and Nene who can run the pick and roll, he won't have the room to do what he does. he's not a good defender, can only post up on certain players, can't catch and shoot without space on a good defender, still takes bad shots. waaay overrated. without the perfect team to surround him, he can't do what he does. not to mention has two great bench players in lou williams and eric gordan.

you could put a prime clyde drexler, one of the best players in the nba, as a 2 or 3 on any team on any system. james harden has never even been to the finals yet. and they could hand check back then.

He was #2 in MVP voting by the media and #1 in MVP voting by the players WITHOUT this team in 2015. NEXT.
