    "Threes are the reason we won. We won by 27 and made 22 3s. If we would have went 0-50 from 3s we would have lost by 39 points" Says a pessimistic fan!

    Our 3rd Unit got outscored by 10 points in the final 5 minutes. That HAS to get better by game #2 or else we may only win by 15

    That was Pop-esque watching him go ballistic when Harden didn't hard-contest Kawahi on that 3. Who would have thunk it? MDA threw everyone off with his D-fense + transition ball game. Those long passes leading to scores really helps us conserve energy for defensive purposes... masterful.

    Harden looked a lot more comfortable out there tonight. I think the team played nervously in the opening series because of the Harden vs Westbrick narratives dominating the headlines. Now that Westbrick is fishing, I think the team looks a lot more engaged and Harden isn't really concerned about having to play above his head. I also think that playing 5 straight games against that long/athletic OKC defense helped us, while the Spurs played a much slower and less potent offensive team in Memphis.

    Spurs will adjust to this, no doubt. But, the thing we should be happy about now is that James no longer has Westbrick in his shadow anymore. He doesn't have to chase anything and can just play within the offense and the rest of the team will feed off of it too. Spurs are in trouble because I don't think they've seen this Rockets team play like this and I'm not sure they can keep up.

    I'm waiting for the excuse.... "But, Harden has the better team surrounding him. Kawhi has to try and do it all himself that's why he got so tired"

    Have been lurking around CF for a decade now but just recently finally made an account and posting for the first time. That being said i have often seen times when i have wanted to point out something others say but never have until now, I dont think the surprise many have stated because of the way we beat the spurs today is necessary. We fans especially, should know what this team is capable of when playing the way we should, and i firmly believe we can beat anyone in this league any given night or series if we play to our potential

    We must continue to exert great pressure in Game 2. Don't let the Spurs come back strongly. Going 0-2 down will be very demoralizing for them.

    last time we played the Spurs in the Playoffs, we also won game 1 on the road and we also only won 1 game in the season series.......#omen

    Honestly the last complete game we played like this was back in December/January when we were playing insane domination style basketball.

    Hopefully we've finally hit our stride again at the right time...
