Ariza did everything you could ask from him. Hit his 3's, played great defense on Leonard, and was active in moving the ball.

One problem I have with Ariza at times is if he catches the ball with anyone near him, he can hold the ball for a few seconds, but tonight he made quick and correct decisions, whether it was to drive or quickly make the extra pass.

    He was fantastic.

Lol, I thought that we would've needed a perfect game in order to beat the Spurs in SA. I'm still in shock that we ran up in there and beat them Holly Holmes style like that.

This game humble the Spurs they were all about saying that this would be a welcomed series compare to what they went through with the Grizzlies. They not respecting what the Rockets had become since they last played a whole better Defensive team. I keep believing that the Rockets D will continue to get better. Plus their offense can adjust to teams taking away the 3s like The Thunder did in the first round and drive to score. Go Rockets!! Like the Dream once said "Stay Humble Stay Hungry" Let's keep it Classy H-Town Crazy!!

That's what is special about this team. Same as Harden's interview after the game. Same
Thing MDA will say. They'll all say we could have played better.

No one is complacent, no one is bragging about the win, they are focused on game 2.

Man, I still really can't believe it.

I thought the best case scenario was barely stealing an ugly game on the road.

I hope they stay hungry, with the aim of playing at home with a 2-0 lead.

Edit: Also, will be interesting to see what Pop does. Will be hard for him to play LMA...but also hard for him to just bench him like OKC did with Kanter, he's too important a cog on their team to just sit on the bench.

If you play him at Center with small ball he's certainly going to get beat on the glass as that's never been his strong suit. I feel like the best they can do is play some small ball with Pau but do they have the talent to beat Rocket's small ball?

EVERY player listed in the Rockets' box score scored.

    That's ALL 13 players !!!

    MDA almost made one.

All i can say is wow. I couldn't believe what i was watching. Had to pinch myself a few times there hahaha. What a massive beaten we handed the Spurs on their home court. I loved seeing Pop over on the sidelines furious. I mean he must've seen that butt whipping coming a mile away. Dude called timeout after our second basket. He lit off into Green butt and everything.

I also loved the timeout Coach MDA called after Leonard made a three. We were up 28 points after that made 3. That's coaching 101

Now my question is, what will be the excuse now? We have more talent than them? Or Leonard doesn't have any freaking help.

    Darn good win Rockets.

    Lets keep it up

I really hope that's sincere. Don't settle for a split. If the Rockets win Game 2(especially if it's by double figures again), they have a legit shot of wrapping this up by the weekend. I still think San Antonio will steal at least one at Toyota Center(they're a terrific road team), so don't be content with taking just one on their home floor.

Parker only took two questions and walked off. Unlike when they win he will stay there for a while.

Last thing I'll talk about, and it won't show up in stats, and some may say it wasn't even needed, but MDA calling that time out when the Spurs made their small run and we started playing lazy, and MDA just chewing our guys out.

That was amazing coaching... and again we still could have won huge with out it, but I think it really sunk into the players.
