I really hope that Savage doesn't get hurt, because I'd like to see what he can really do. Unfortunately, I also think he will be injured early into the season. Savage is a statue back there, and that contributes to him taking hits and then getting injured.

One thing that I love about Watson is that he can scramble when he needs to. I love QB's that can make something from nothing. I'm already ready for the season to start.

I meant more this season. If both players have a great camp/pre-season and another team is forced to search for an emergency replacement. The Texans might be able to get a third round pick next year for him.

How do you go from "Go Cowboys" to bring up Vince Young?

The biggest obstacle to sitting Watson until he is ready is Savage is made out of paper dolls so the idea of him staying healthy is not likely at all.

Did you see the report that Cutler's agent has been calling the Texans and they won't take his call ?

If Savage goes out, Watson goes in.

Sports Science had Watson's max velocity at 53.5 mph. And that velocity can be improved through mechanical fixes as well as other tactics as shown by Matt Ryan and Brady.

There's plenty of articles about why this stat at the moment isn't statistically relevant.

But, as PBev says, numbers don't lie. Watson's velocity is just on every number but one that gives me some concern.

Didn't we have a player with a really sick velocity - one Mr. Ryan Mallet?

Why would Savage calling Watson have a negative impact on either player?

If anything it shows unity and that both players will be up to the challenge come OTA. This should be something we enjoy to see transpire as the player with the best overall skill and football intelligence would win the starting job, whether it be Savage or Watson.

Cam is bigger, faster, stronger, and has a better arm.
