Popovich is a good guy and maybe the best NBA coach of all time, but it's nice to know he still feels the effects from the '95 bamboozlement.

He does seem a little prickly with reporters, especially during playoff time. The question itself -- asking him to reminisce about the Spurs being upset by the Rockets over 20 years ago in somewhat embarrassing fashion when they're in thick of preparing for a series against them was just asking for that kind of response. He doesn't even like to talk about what happened the year before, let alone 20+ years ago. The reporter was either looking to be confrontational or is a noob. Some guys are good at compartmentalizing the pressure and stresses of playoff competition so that can respond to fluffy questions like that. Popovich isn't that kind of guy. Doesn't make him a terrible person, as that poster was so quick to label him.
Yeah, don't knock pops. Dude is a legend and the reporter clearly isn't. The reporter asked a lame question. He's trying to provoke a narrative instead of letting the story unfold. This is like the dude trying to get Green to say it was raining threes or some crap when it flooded Houston. Often times these sports reporters are trying really hard to get a narrative and this one was a dud. It happens. Move on.

It's a dumb question. I mean sure I don't like Pop not answering legitimate questions, but 95? Lol, only people from Houston would even think about bringing up 95.
It was a dumb question, but Pop is generally a dick to reporters. Kawhi Leonard went to bill o'brien school of answering questions: He is trying to be the best teammate possible.

The reporter was being a dik. Not a single player from back then is still on either team. What's the point other than to annoy Pop? That said I hope history repeat itself.

He actually seems like a nice guy off the court, granted, theres not many people who could have that much success and come out mean and angry.
