That's the most I've heard Dre say in all 15 years. It will always be Dre Day.

Honestly, and it's been a looong time, but he's got a little Purdue Drew Brees in him.

A more athletic Brees. Neither have strong arms. Both have maturity, leadership, and good work ethic.

Drew Bree's really increased his arm strength and velocity in the NFL.

Your right he wasn't the biggest arm coming out of Purdue but he had that it factor like Watson.

This is actually a good comparison I like it.

I see some Wilson in that he can extend plays and really make great throws on the run but I do think Watson will be very good in the pocket like Brees and be able to fit the ball in tight spots.

Needless to say I'm very happy with the pick. This is the guy I wanted since last season just thought there was no way we could get him.

Over the last few drafts the only QBs that I liked better were Andrew Luck and Jamies Winston.

This guy Watson has that kind of ability like those guys and not only put up the big numbers but also won big games against the best teams and dominated this teams.

Side note I'm shocked at how big he is. He looks really big next to Rick smith and BOB.

If he can add 10lbs I think he will hold up just fine.

Almost 6'3 and already 225 beef him up to 235 and he's good to go.

preferred Kizer but I hope I'm wrong

at least we have something to look forward too regardless of what happens. probably the most excited i've been for a texans season in a while and i wasn't a huge fan of the pick (though I do like the dude)

Dont know what to think but next year draft will be harsh. No 1st or 2nd round. Just hope Mr Warson is the real deal.

Yep, it's tough to think about right now. But if Watson is legit then we won't care nearly as much. Plus they will probably end up having 8 draft picks if you include the 3rd for Bouye and the two 6th rounders for Simon and Demps (two thirds, one fourth, one fifth, 3 sixths, and a seventh) That'd make it possible for them to move up if there's a guy they really like in the second.

None and thats the bigger problem. The fact that Obrien fired his defacto OC and replaced him with no one doesn't give me a lot of faith in them developing Watson this season at all.

Fitz and Hoyer both had their best seasons in the NFL at the time under OB.

Brees had a fine arm and his passes hit the hands of Purdue's receivers, not the ground or the opponents' defensive backs.
