All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PVP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on Root Sports unless otherwise noted.

4-28 Jharel Cotton RHP vs. Charlie Morton RHP 7:10

4-29 Andrew Triggs RHP vs. Joe Musgrove RHP 6:10

Got to win GM1 to win series. Triggs vs Musgrove is nearly an automatic loss.

Don't think I've ever heard of their starters.

Interesting stat on Triggs, he's a RHP but lefties are 3-38 against him this year. He and Hahn have been pitching well so far this year.

eta: Ahhh, I remember Triggs now out of Oak's pen last year. Puss throwing goofball, but it works. Here's some surprisingly good vid & info from some random fantasy site I found: http://razzball.com/itchy-triggs-finger-and-the-top-100-starting-pitchers-week-4/

huh? Musgrove has looked ok..not great, but not horrid. And most recent 5 innings were great! :) Triggs also just got hit pretty well in his last start. I see them having an advantage on SP, but nowhere near automatic loss. I'm sure we'll still be favored

My language was overly strong there. Lets just say my confidence in Musgrove has waned quite a bit.

Musgrove needs to sit at Keuchel's knee and learn when to throw the baseball down out of the zone.

Oh yeah, there's definitely such a thing as throwing too many strikes, especially when you don't have amazing stuff.

OAK's starter tonight Jharel Cotton, leads MLB (among qualifiers) at 53.5% of pitches w/in the strikezone. If Musgrove qualified, he'd be 10th at 51% (the #3 guy is at 51.9).

Speaking of Cotton, I've never seen him pitch but looking at a couple of scouting reports and some limited highlights, he looks fun to watch pitch (good) and also to have serious stuff and potential (not good).

His battling back after getting shelled in his last start was commendable. I'm hoping to see his last few innings carry over into his next outing. Fiers and Morton worry me a bit more on the whole.

Hinch has almost got it right. It's almost like he is trolling me. just switch mccann for gattis and there is your everyday lineup.

i know right? Ask anybody. i'm a better manager than hinch. He has played, managed, and been in the FO. I have no baseball experience whatsoever. The choice is obvious, # T For 3
