Yes. Since it was important to get the right QB.

I don't disagree with you, but part of me thinks you should just give the fans what they think they want and if it goes poorly then it's what they deserve to have happen.

Again....Go watch the last 2 National Championship games. He threw for a combined 800+ yards, 8 TDs - 1INT against Alabama (A defense full of NFL prospects).

When those stop being college football games then I'll be more impressed.

Funny enough, that was my same opinion about Trump. If people are dumb enough to think that's what they want, then that's what they deserve to have happen.

If D.Watson is the next Warren Moon or any were close to him the Texans have found their QB and fans are in for some good times. They already resemble each other.

Everyone is claiming either side of the extreme. Some think hes going to be Michael Vick and others think hes going to be Brock Jr. Why cant he be in the middle and our version of Bridgewater or Dalton? Neither are GOATs but they wont cost you games.

Warren Moon had one of the best arms in the game, Watson is not even in the same ballpark there.

Hopefully that will change and the kid will improve his velocity but let's not get ahead of ourselves here and start comparing him to Moon.

I wanted Mahomes too, but Watson is a great consolation prize.

A lot of people will like him because he won in college. I have an open mind on him. Certainly some pros and cons. I wonder if we couldn't have gotten him later though? A hefty price paid for sure.

Hahaha post of the draft. By the same logic, Tom Savage could be our man, as he "resembles" Peyton Manning.

    I blame Romo for this.

That would be absolutely incredible. Especially for a rookie. Although, I don't see any way that he plays that much this season. But if those were to be his stats in 2018 after sitting in 2017 I would be ecstatic.

The kid has a ways to go yet so to sit here on Day 2 of the 2017 draft and predict success or failure is a polite waste of time. I did look at his session on Gruden's QB Camp and what I saw was an unpolished rookie being introduced to the NFL way of doing things. I liked his attitude and desire to learn and I couldn't help but think back to Johnny Manziel's Gruden session where he couldn't even diagram plays on the whiteboard. Make no mistake Watson will have to make a big adjustment to play QB at the next level and it all boils down to his ability to process what he's seeing from opposing defenses - something Osweiler failed at miserably. Let's see what happens when he gets into their QB meetings and the strength and conditioning program. I'm cautiously optimistic on this move and will be rooting for this kid to succeed.

    an observation:

People refer to black QBs as "kid". They never refer to white QBs with this word. Let's treat everybody equally and not use this derogatory word. To me the word "kid" implies some kind of pity or reduced expectations.
