First tackle off the board, 2 left worth drafting before we just accept that we'll lose QB's to injury this season.

49ers got a steal in Reuben Foster. I had picked for the Texans if a QB or Peppers fell through.

Lamp and Robinson still on the board. Won't make it to us though.

Trading up for a top 15 player at 31 is good value. But no way in hell were they considering him at 2 or 3.

They need to hit defense tomorrow. Bashem or Sidney Jones in the 2nd and then get a tackle (Rodrick Johnson or Antonio Garcia) in the 3rd.

They ARE desperate. It's not a move from strength. The Texans have a gigantic hole at QB and a solid team everywhere else. Their window will shrink pretty quickly because you can't keep a roster together that long unless it's built around a QB.

So their choice was to remain a 2nd or 3rd tier team that has no route to compete for a Superbowl, or a take a chance and pay up for a QB and hope you can break into that top tier. They whiffed on Romo by waiting it out, and didn't have many FA options left unless they wanted Cutler or Kap. In trade, I do wonder what they thought of Jimmy G and if trading those same picks would have gotten him from the Patriots. But given the position they put themselves in by failing at QB year after year, taking a chance is really their only viable option if the goal is to get into the top tier of teams.

I'm glad you said it first. Mixon would be a good pick day 2. Also OL.

Tom Brady had a weak arm/everything coming out of college somehow he improved his arm strength. So apparently it can be done.

The Niners were dominant when they had Patrick Willis and Bowman manning the middle of their 3-4, so it's not that hard to believe.

Sidney Jones would be an interesting pick. I wouldn't expect much out of him this season but they could IR him and he will be like their 2018 draft pick. I don't know if I do it in the 2nd though. 3rd for sure.

You must be saying this because you don't like Deshaun. The chiefs gave up more to get a backup who is less ready. Not desperate. The Bears gave up picks just to move one spot to get a QB to compete with the one they just gave a lot of money to. Not desperate.

I understand Texans fans are used to being disappointed but we complain about the QB position and they just got the #1 rated QB in this draft and didn't jeopardize this year's draft. This pick is all about 2017. No other pick should have made you more excited for 2017.
