We traded Corey Brewer for this guy. These people are paid to analyze basketball?

We might've lost this series without Lou. That's how big he was.

Hilarious thing is Magic Johnson did.

In an interview in Houston, he said Lou will be big for us in the playoffs.

Everyone who know basketball knows lou is a pro who is born to score. Mark jackson said it all the time.

There was nothing logical about believing lou would suck just because he struggled in previous series.

You could tell by looking at his eyes and his performances in nationally televised games that he would show out on the big stage against OKC.

I hate to agree...but I agree. Lou came up with the timeliest floaters in the lane, layups, parking lot 3s or simply Thunder momentum stunting 3point shooting foul draws that saved the series in my opinion. Those were huge and invaluable.

But we have to include EGO and Nene in this discussion as well. They were all key.

Thunder took away our shooters, it was open lanes for the Guards to attack, glad Lou took care of business when it mattered.

Lou earned his paycheck this series. He was huge. I have total confidence. That 30 footer almost shook me, but damned if it didn't go in. That was game right there.

Eh, I also thought he had the potential to be good come playoff time, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Yes, he's a scorer, but the last months and previous playoff seasons all indicated a big chance of him continuing to struggle. The probability of him completely turning the switch after sucking for months was certainly lower than him having a mediocre series. Certainly wasn't illogical to think that.

That said, hope he continues to shine and am glad you were right.

But will he be a rocket next year?
Or will he go where the money takes him?

Definitely. Our entire bench(which consisted of only 3 guys due to Dekker's injury) was money in this series. Gordon had a quiet Game 1, but otherwise he, Lou, and Nene were the reason we won in 5(and at all). The media is obsessed with the Thunder coughing up leads when Westbrook sat, but it was also due to these guys going off on the Thunder reserves.

I had no doubt that shot was going in. Neither did Lou. He wasn't hesitating. He was measuring.

He's under contract for one more year at 7 mil. I don't see him going anywhere. I thought prior to this series Morey would be willing to move him in the offseason to clear up capspace in order to sign a big name free agent, but not anymore.
