    Odds of scoring are better with a runner on first and no outs than a runner on second and one out.

    Runner on first has easy edge for run expectancy, but if I remember correctly, most probability charts give second 1 out a slightly greater chance of scoring at least 1 run. IIRC, basically it was close enough that weak hitters should bunt and strong hitters shouldn't in 9th inning down 1 run.
