Why does D'Antoni wait to call a timeout until the leads are stretched to double digits? Absolutely maddening. Popovich would call a timeout if there were back to back sloppy plays. We were down 4 and they were rallying but we wait until they stretch it to double digits to call a timeout. It's something he's done all season.
On the bright side. Rockets are one of the best teams if not the best coming out of timeouts. Mike AntoniO sets up several good plays after a timeout which result in a bucket more often than not
My only problem so far has been, during westies last 2 free-throw attempts mda said timeout if he made it, run it if he missed. He missed so we ran it. I was OK with pushing the pace but it got blockaded do call tome out and reset. I love harden and live and die with what he gives me. He was amazing for 42 minutes, and it is what it is. Gentlemans sweep here we come
D'Antoni leads the league in pts after a timeout but decides not to call a timeout on the last possession.
MDA didn't coach all that well tonight and the team has come out far to flat the last couple of nights which is a poor reflection of him and having these guys prepared to play. He needs to not be afraid to go deeper in the bench when Anderson and Ariza are sucking ass as well.
Anderson was hardly sucking ass tonight, your assessment would have been correct in the first 2 games. Ariza on the other hand is playing so timid, scared to shoot when he would have if it was a regular season game and chose to shoot when defender was closing down on him. He's been a bit of a liability on the offensive end. But come on, seriously this sort of knee jerk thread still comes up?
MDA can't be afraid to bench guys if they are not helping the team. Anderson was okay tonight but he's still a net negative with his lack of shooting from the 3 and getting own by Gibson. Wouldn't mind seeing Williams get a chance to spell both Ariza and Anderson. If the Rox were playing a better team, they would be trailing 1-2 because of those 2.
MDA's biggest mistake tonight was playing Capela 23 minutes and Nene only 15. If you flip that then the Rockets win. Capela was awful.
Yea but Lou was playing significant minutes and again single handedly kept us in the game in the 2nd quarter, who else would you bring up from the bench? Harrell? Bobby? Come on man, WB played a fine game where he consistently created and distributed, they played well. Rockets despite shooting poorly hung in all game. There's a couple of things rocket could have done better tonight but give them credit where it's due
Yeah, we need some more energy and hustle on the floor. Too many rebounds/loose balls finding OKC players and we just looked so stagnant many times this game.
He was hoping harden would have one of those fast break plays like the denver nuggets game winner. He just missed a shot guys. A timeout doesnt guarantee that he makes it
I dont mind the non timeout, the floor was more open, with more opportunities to find the open man, hardens shot although contested still had breathing room enough to take a decent shot
