Trump says 'massive tax cut' plan coming as soon as Wednesday

    President Trump told The Associated Press on Friday that he intends to release a tax reform plan next week that includes a "massive tax cut" for businesses and individuals.

    Trump said the plan would be unveiled "Wednesday or shortly thereafter" and would involve tax cuts that would be "bigger I believe than any tax cut ever."

    The announcement of the tax plan's release comes as Trump seeks to notch achievements ahead of hitting his 100th day in office, on April 29.



    Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Thursday that the White House would be releasing a tax plan "very soon." He said earlier this week that enacting tax reform by August is “highly aggressive to not realistic" but that the administration is still aiming for legislation to be passed this year.
    Mnuchin also said Thursday that the administration's tax plan would "pay for itself with growth.”

    Lol... Congress isn't going to pass this without cuts to Medicare and SSN because tax cuts will add a lot of debt with boomers getting ready to retire in mass. On top of that, we are escalating military action abroad. Good luck with that.

    Whenever you see the phrase, "Trump says...", just ignore it. Besides getting a Supreme Court justice approved, Trump doesn't do anything he says.

    Conservatives know how to obstruct. They don't know how to govern. Liberals know how to govern, but they suck as the opposition.

    Don't have high hopes RL. The GOP couldn't even put a bill that they promised for 8 years up for a vote with a majority lead in every branch of government.

    Trump's plan is DOA. This is just the first move in the White House's negotiation with the Freedom Caucus.

    Bless their sweet hearts, the Freedom Caucus will want to balance tax cuts with spending cuts. Hilarity will ensue.
