I suppose the important question is, can he miss enough shots in the next 2 or maybe 3 games to where he can be the missed shot champ for the playoffs overall? It's going to be hard to do without even making it to the 2nd round, but if anyone could do it that person is Westbrick.

In the first half of game 2, Lou Williams scored 16 points and single-handedly kept us in the game. Furthermore, he created all those points by himself. Harden didn't create anything for him. In the play-by-play, Harden is credited with an assist when Lou Williams hit a 3 to end the first quarter, but it was a poor pass and Williams was well-covered by Roberson. Williams simply made a difficult shot.

Also, later in the game, with Harden on the bench and Westbrook on the floor, our supporting cast turned an 8 point deficit into a 1 point lead.

Give our supporting cast some credit. They're a lot better than you think.

Agreed. Here is an example from Rachel Nichols.

Would she be saying the same thing if Westicle had led the Thunder to a 1-1 series tie? Disingenuous *******.

Now the ESPN bottom scroll reads "Houston has lost last 6 road games" for the HOU/OKC series summary

not once has it been HOU positive

    interesting.

Rachel Nichols' MVP take was pretty disingenuous for sure. Stop screaming at me about the MVP race when YOUR OWN NETWORK keeps bringing it up with FirstTake, SportsNation et all.

I could only listen to that video 1 time. But regarding the MVP she said something like "no one wins the "season" and MVP is on who is "most interesting." Maybe I heard that wrong. Whatever.

It will be beautiful when the players vote for Harden as the league MVP and the media look like idiots again.

That's a very misleading statistic, BTW. All of those 6 losses are to the Warriors. Prior to that, the Rockets had won a road game in every playoff series dating back to Utah in 2008.

Don't be so sure Harden has the players vote. When Harden won over Curry in the players vote, it was likely because the players didn't respect the fact Curry had to work as hard with his stacked team. Likely now, the players would tip their cap at Westbrook's work load. Not that James isn't also doing it, but the competition is stronger in that category than 2 years ago.

I doubt that the players will vote against Westbrook. I'm more inclined to believe that the players have a more consistent criteria than the media. If that's true then they'll vote Westbrook.

If they could just give us a list of what narratives we should follow to help us decide on who is and is not MVP that would be grrreeeeaaattt mmkay?

LOL! that was hilarious to watch. Russilo has been on board with taking Westbrook to task "when it is warranted." Those "SC Hosts / narrative pushers" man, they were totally taken aback. This is a gem of a video.

The threads on the media about Westbrook, Harden, and this whole MVP race are even more out of control. I'm more worried about us just getting past OKC and on to our next opponent right now.

I was a little surprised that multiple people were making a little bit of sense in the comments section of that video...I was not expecting that

He will hear from his ESPN employers for displaying so much logic and reasoning, they can't let this go unpunished. It would not surprise me if Russillo gets suspended.
