Even a dumbass could have got 56 wins that season with the way harden was playing.

 

55 wins this year. Has Harden declined? Look at the roster two years ago and then look at this years roster. Which roster is better suited for Moreyball? You guys can hate if you want, but the results speak for themselves.

And just for the record, I'm thrilled to have MDA as the coach. I just think McHale got a lot of wins out of some teams that were not built to play Moreyball.

 

I don't think you should read into it so much - McHale's comments seem genuine to me.

Also, I'm not sure why you think McHale believes those things about PnRs. McHale is just saying that he wanted Beverley to bring the ball up the court, not James. McHale even mentioned that he let James run the offense, he just wanted to have Bev bring it up instead.

It seems dumb to fight with your superstar about something so small, but it probably gets hard to pick all the right battles when you're fighting for control of the locker room. Every small battle seems so much bigger than it really is when you're under that much pressure.
