CNN's Jake Tapper: Hillary Clinton Blaming Others for Election Loss, Hasn’t ‘Done Enough Introspection’ Never holding herself accountable, Hillary blamed other people–like Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Wikileak founder and FBI Director James Comey–for her loss. They didn't tell her to take a couple months off, without any interviews/press conferences/campaign rallies, after winning the Dem nomination, when her poll # was trending up, and Trump trending down, w the margin widening to ~ 11% in her favor don't go to Wisconsin, PA and Michigan during the last 2 weeks of the campaign, (she assumed that it was in the bag already) [to] call one-quarter of the country ‘deplorable' look in the mirror, Hillary. the election was hers to lose, just like in her 2008 run against Obama, her complacency lost it. http://freebeacon.com/politics/jake...for-her-loss-hasnt-done-enough-introspection/
She really doesn't need to, her political career is over and at this point just let her be a bitter old woman who blames her failures on others. She's not hurting anyone by doing so.
Her political career may not have much left, but for her own sake she ought to take some personal responsibility. However, I don't know that what she says publicly is anything other than the way she's programmed herself to respond over her life in the public. I honestly have no idea.
The DNC could probably take some flack for not putting together a decent succession plan after 2010 or 2012, but other than misunderstanding the Solid South and not ditching Huma Abedin, Hillary did what she could to get a plurality of votes in a national contest. One of my Facebook (and childhood) friends posted right after the election that it was "okay to say Merry Christmas again," the few Hispanic friends I have who voted from Trump outright deny his comments about the Trump University judge. The desperate evangelists and bitter rust-belters too detached from geopolitics or government shutdowns are to blame for this one, not her.
She doesn't. I'm not a conservative and I think conservatives have always been petty towards her but they are right about her sense of entitlement. When she lost to Obama it was because of overconfidence leading up to Iowa.
You're right so everyone needs to take responsibility for running a flawed candidate That being said, Trump was the perfect candidate to expose her weaknesses with the electorate
pgabs is back! On topic, I could not be less interested in a politician. I'm more interested in my local city council reps than HRC at this point. She needs a deep retirement, taking up finger painting or something. Whether it's fair or not, she will only be toxic to whatever causes she takes up from here. (Oooooo, maybe she should become a vocal Trump supporter!)
I rather agree. She has a large and impactful foundation she can devote her energies to that will probably do more in the world from this point forward than Hillary the politician would. I don't know why she wants to get back into the political fray at this point. If she spends the next 20 years fighting AIDS in Africa she'll leave a bigger mark than she can playing armchair quarterback to President Trump in foreign affairs.
The thing about Hillary is she's not likable and believable. You can dress her up, coach her till the cows come home, feed her all the lines that voters want to hear, in the end nobody likes and believes her. Contrary to uncle Bernie, he is a clueless socialist and everything he believes in is wrong, but people like him more than Hillary because they can feel his passion is real, even though every time I listened to him, I have to LOL.
Nice story from CNN's Jake Tapper - And by CNN's Jake Tapper, I mean nutjob fake news site "freebeacon". Russia is all a big distraction!
